Hi! I’m Damaris. I’m originally from Germany and love exploring new places, cultures and food. I am an outdoor person who does everything from relaxing at the beach to hiking up the mountains, running or cycling around the city. I am a qualified Postpartum Doula. Back in Germany, I studied and worked as a Midwife and have over 7 years of experience in educating, encouraging and supporting new mum’s on their journey into motherhood. I see an overwhelming need for mothers to continue to receive the encouragement, care and support postpartum. Every mum needs and deserves to be mothered over this period; to be nurtured in a non-judgemental way so that the best mum within her will be available for her new baby. I provide in-home postpartum care that is personalised to you and your needs. This could include sitting down with you and listening, cooking you a nourishing meal, giving you a massage, supporting you with (breast)feeding, settling or swaddling your baby or doing your laundry or dishes – whatever it is that helps you feel calm and relaxed. I offer face-to-face sessions in your home, in Sydney, Australia (Inner West, Eastern Suburbs, Lower North Shore and St George area).

I offer postpartum care that is focused on nourishing the new mum. I do this through bodywork, food, emotional and practical care. I also offer Pregnancy and Postpartum Massages.
As a second time mum, I felt okay with looking after a baby- what I learned from my first experience was that I needed to look after myself, too. That’s where Damaris stepped in. She not only made space for me to get a much-needed physical break but gently guided me to really prioritise rest (both mentally and physically)- a concept that was challenging for me to accept at first but something that will last well beyond the fourth trimester. What worked best for myself and my family was a weekly visit from Damaris. Her postnatal massages are a must and helped me avoid those aches and pains from pregnancy and hours spend nursing in awkward positions. She made sure I was comfortable, used beautiful essential oils, and I’d almost always fall asleep it was so relaxing. Her belly massage is the best! Damaris would also help with housework, meals, and the baby so I could get in some much-needed extra rest. Knowing that I had set aside this time for me every week was so, SO good, and helped me get through the tougher days. I now firmly prioritise rest, knowing that it is not just for me but my family too. Every new mum needs Damaris!
