hospital 500-1k i want a unmedicated birth for when it’s time

I am looking to have a hospital birth, but with as little intervention as possible. I want to be unmedicated, ability to labor and deliver on my side or all fours, I want to delay the cord cutting, no fundal massage, no cervical checks,, and I want to be able to retain my placenta. I believe a birth via OB would stop me from this.

I am trying to determine if I should invest in a doula. Plan for hospital birth. This is my second pregnancy- first was c section with twins. Currently pregnant with one child so plan for VBAC. Unsure of budget.

Hello, I am a first time mom here and I’d like to give birth either at home or in a birthing center. Idk if u guys have anythig through insurance ? Id really love my birth to be as natural as possible. I want to avoid c section, epidural. And really focus on a healthy vaginal delivery. I also like to further discuss exact plans right after delivery such as delay cord clamping and having baby RIGHT on me post delivery. Placenta to be pushed out by me and not physically pulled (unless for emegerncy) no unnecessary cervical checks or vaccines for baby. Im still very early and am feeling very anxious and need to find an OB or midwife

Dear Pippa, My husband Sam and I are expecting our second child in mid September of this year. Sam will take off one week to ten days for paternity leave and then another week or so later in the year. We have a two year old son (Hugo) who will be in school from 8:30 to 1:30 Monday through Friday. I would like to speak with you about our specific needs, but I think it would be something like three days for five hours in the first week I’m home from the hospital, five days for five hours the next week, and then maybe two or three days for four hours the week after that. I am a 40 year old, pregnant for the first time. Other than my “advanced age” I’m otherwise very healthy. Normal BMI, active, no preconditions. I would like to have a relaxed, minimally medicalized, minimally invasive birth but due to my age, I fear that will be not respected. I am also limited by my insurance to deliver at Yale New Haven Hospital. I would like to have someone who’s an advocate for me, and someone consistent to support me throughout my pregnancy, birth and postpartum. (My current OB doesn’t deliver, which means it’ll happen w whoever is on call). I’m not sure of my budget, as I don’t know what is typical, but I am a postdoc w a fixed income. I will also likely have to take unpaid leave after birth.

Hello, I am looking for an at home as holistic as possible birth. I already have a 10 year old I am now 35. First pregnancy was amazing everything went well. Vaginal birth. I do not make a lot of money so of ours if insurance pays it would be ideal but I have to explore to see how much it would be so I can start to save now!
