I plan to give birth in a hospital setting. I am hoping to find a doula that accepts Medicade. I would like to keep my placenta, birth in my desired position, go into labor naturally with no induction.

I do plan on having an epidural. I would also like for there to be delayed cord clamping. As well as splitting skin to skin “golden hour” between my husband and I.

Hi I’m Angel Hayes I’m a first time mom and I officially have my baby in April of 2026. Now I currently stay in Houston but came back home to be around my family during my pregnancy. As though I don’t mind giving birth in the hospital, I just don’t trust anyone to give birth to my child with a doula or midwife in the room for extra protection. As I’m not to familiar with postpartum, I will need help throughout the rest of my pregnancy to know the ends in outs and on how I should go about keeping my placenta. Preferably one that I’ll have my own space and not have to share an area with someone. -I have insurance but no outside midwife/doula take insurance. This is a must for me due to not having the time to pay out of pocket. -For my birthing plan I don’t ask much. 1. I only want one or two people on my care team. 2. No rushing through the process. 3. This will be my first baby and birth, with that being said I’m very unsure about a lot of things. That’s one of the main reasons I’d like a doulas help! I’d love help navigating through This journey with someone that is educated and experienced. I wouldn't say I really have a birth plan, I do however know of some things that I think I’d like from some “research” I’ve been doing. I’m also very open to changes in this depending on what the doula thinks/recommends. I’d love to have an unmedicated birth (in a hospital) as I would feel more settled having that access if anything goes wrong. I would like to be in control of my birth, deciding what position I’m in, letting my water break on its own, no drugs to induce labor, etc.. I want someone by my side who’s educated and who has my best interest in mind; if that makes sense! I’ve heard how doctors love to rush your birth. As far as budget, I’d really love to discuss everything id potentially need or want and we would figure it out from there? I just see so many numbers I’m really unsure what the cost is. I’d say max $3,000

I plan to give birth with Norton OBs in Louisville Ky. I am on Medicaid PASSPORT. I would love to have a doula that accepts this Medicaid, but if not, I’d like to spend less than $1000 if possible. I don’t have a birth plan nailed down yet, but I’d like to do as natural as possible.

This is my second baby, my first being born in August of 2025 (currently 7 months postpartum). I gave birth at Lima Memorial previously and loved the experience - however, I ended up getting an epidural at 9 cm dilated when I had wanted to deliver naturally. I was hoping to try again naturally. I have no budget for doula services.
