About me

I have always had a heart for serving others and a passion for supporting people through their most vulnerable experiences. As a type 1 diabetic, I take a keen interest in nurturing Mama’s that are dealing with high-risk pregnancies. Some of my own personal experiences have led me to the desire to educate, support and empower women to advocate for themselves and the positive birth experience they deserve!

Service introduction

First and foremost, the presence of a certified doula during a birth statistically results in shorter labors and overall better outcomes. Particularly for first time parents or those who have had previous birth trauma experiences, having someone familiar with and confident in the process is extremely comforting. A doula can reassure you and your partner that things are progressing as they should. Most doulas offer prenatal and postpartum support in addition to birth services. They can be an excellent resource for your local birth community if you find yourself needing more help with things like mental health services, massage/acupuncture, lactation, etc. Doulas can help you to labor longer at home in comfort by offering pain-relief techniques such as massage, aromatherapy, hypnobirthing and other such methods. Most importantly, a doula will support you through YOUR birth choices. Should you choose a home birth, birth center or hospital setting, a midwife or OBGYN, epidural, water birth, spontaneous labor, induction or cesarean. My job at Elevate Elation Doula Services is to cultivate the environment to achieve your personal birth goals in a non-judgmental or bias, yet safe and confident manner.

Packages
Basic In-Person Birth Support
A step down from my all-inclusive support package, we will meet two or three times during your third trimester to discuss and solidify your birth plans. I will be available via phone calls/text to answer any questions or concerns you may have up until labor begins when I will join you at home, the hospital or birthing center. I will stay by your side through the duration of labor and delivery and remain present until you are situated and comfortable post birth, which is typically around two to three hours after baby arrives. I am more than happy to help document your birth with non-professional photos/video when I am not hands on and helping Mama. Once I take my leave, I will remain in touch and easily reachable. I can assist the transition back home from the hospital/birth center or we can meet again as soon as you are feeling up for it! I offer two postpartum visits to check in and drop off any necessary essentials. Feel free to reach out any time after your baby is born if you have any questions, concerns or are simply seeking guidance for recommended fourth trimester care.
