About Ste'keira

Hello families! I am the owner of Triangle Doulas of Color and a Certified Birth and Postpartum Doula. At ten years old, I witnessed childbirth for the very first time and have been fascinated ever since. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Public Health and Spanish. I also managed a midwifery practice for nearly five years, discovering my passion for helping people navigate the healthcare system during their journey into parenthood. I have been providing doula support since 2015, started Triangle Doulas of Color in 2018 as a solo practice, and we transitioned into an agency in 2020. It's been a beautiful journey providing education, support, and community to families and watching them grow and thrive!

Frequently asked questions

Do you take insurance?

Most commercial insurance companies do not cover doula services. Many of the Medicaid and Tricare plans will cover doula support, however, we are not in-network with them at this time. Your insurance company should be able to provide you with a list of in-network doulas. For questions about coverage, contact your insurance company directly. You may have employee benefits programs that cover doula services. Please let us know if you plan to use them.
