Tori is looking for Birth Doula
|
Location: Richmond, VA 23224, USA
Due date or baby's birthday: May 01, 2026
I plan to give birth in a hospital and I’m looking for a doula who can support me on the day of delivery. I am planning to get an epidural if possible and would like guidance with using a peanut ball and laboring in different positions instead of only delivering on my back. I may want to try all-fours on the bed or side-lying with one leg supported. I also prefer for the placenta to remain attached until it stops pulsating. My estimated budget for doula support in Richmond, VA is around $800–$1,200 depending on what is included. I currently have Blue Cross Blue Shield FEP (lowest plan) and would like to know if any portion can be reimbursed. |

Hello, My name is Nyesha, and I’m the founder of Essential Mystic Showers, a wellness brand focused on gentle, aromatherapy-based self-care for prenatal and postpartum women. I’m reaching out because we are developing a small, no-cost wellness pilot program designed to support moms during pregnancy and the postpartum period, and we would love to explore partnering with organizations/ people who are already doing incredible work in this space. The pilot is a short, 7-day self-care experience where participating moms receive free shower-based aromatherapy products and complete brief, anonymous surveys focused on stress, sleep quality, and overall emotional well-being. The goal is to better understand whether these types of products are genuinely helpful for moms during this season of life. There are no medical claims, no treatment protocols, and no obligation for participants beyond optional feedback. All data collected is anonymous and shared in aggregate only. We would love to offer this pilot to a small group of moms you serve and provide your organization with a summary of the findings afterward. If this sounds aligned with your mission, I’d love to schedule a brief call to walk through the details and see if this could be a good fit. Warmly, Nyesha Founder, Essential Mystic Showers [Www.emshowers.com] [Social Media: Essential Mystic Showers] |

Due date or baby's birthday: November 26, 2025
1) hospital 2) am unsure of costs 3) epidural of needed FTM at 43 with labor anxiety. My family does not live here and will not be at the birth. My partner has 2 kids and at times makes me feel uncomfortable with how involved he wants his family to be in the hospital. I feel that he is putting their wants before mine. |

|
Location: Virginia Beach, VA 23455, USA
Due date or baby's birthday: October 11, 2026
I plan to give birth in a hospital setting and would really like a doula who is supportive of an unmedicated birth. My goal is to have as natural of a labor as possible while still being in the hospital environment. I’m looking for someone who can provide encouragement, reassurance, and calming support throughout labor, and help me stay focused and comfortable using natural pain-management techniques such as breathing, movement, positioning, and relaxation. This is very important to me because I want to feel supported, confident, and empowered during the birth process. I would love someone who can help advocate for my preferences if needed and create a positive, calm atmosphere during labor. As far as budget, I’m not completely sure yet, but I’m open to discussing options and finding something that works. |

Location: Bon Air, VA 23235, USA

we plan to give birth at Bon Secour St. Mary's hospital. We're first time parents but are a little older (32 & 40) and would love some extra help in the delivery room and after birth. So far we've had very few complications and are hoping to have a natural birth with an epidural for pain management with very few if any friends and family around. |

Location: Bon Air, VA 23235, USA
Due date or baby's birthday: June 08, 2026
I plan to give birth in the hospital. Estimated budget $1,000 - $2,000. For our birth plan, I plan to go natural and do breathing techniques and manage the pain on my own. If I need intervention then I may opt for Epidural. But I still would like to be in positions fitted for having the epidural. I do not want to labor on my back. I would like for our birth to be peaceful and beautiful. |

Hannah is looking for Midwife, Birth Doula
|
Location: Sandy Hook, VA 23153, USA
Due date or baby's birthday: June 03, 2026
I am hoping for a VBAC after a semi-traumatic cesarean experience. I believe my best chances to achieve this would be through help of a doula and a midwife, as the current OB I see pushed for an early induction last time and I can feel that's the direction she's pushing for this second pregnancy. The OB only pushed for induction and brought up cesarean based on baby's projected size. First son was 8lbs 12.5oz at birth; so not small, but certainly not over 10lbs as they had insisted. My current plan is to give birth at Henrico Doctor's Hospital (where I delivered my first), but am open to other options such as a home birth or a birthing center. I would love to try for unmedicated this go around. I am not a high-risk pregnancy, I have a healthy BMI, baby is healthy, no gestational diabetes, no markers for preeclampsia or hypertension, so I believe and feel strongly that I can attempt a VBAC + TOLAC. |
