I plan on giving birth in a hospital. $500 is my max for payment. I plan on giving birth in a hospital I would like to have a complete natural birth in the hospital with no epidural.

I plan to give birth in a hospital and I’m looking for a doula who can support me on the day of delivery. I am planning to get an epidural if possible and would like guidance with using a peanut ball and laboring in different positions instead of only delivering on my back. I may want to try all-fours on the bed or side-lying with one leg supported. I also prefer for the placenta to remain attached until it stops pulsating. My estimated budget for doula support in Richmond, VA is around $800–$1,200 depending on what is included. I currently have Blue Cross Blue Shield FEP (lowest plan) and would like to know if any portion can be reimbursed.

Help in delivery room, provide Medical advice, and a nurse

1) hospital 2) am unsure of costs 3) epidural of needed FTM at 43 with labor anxiety. My family does not live here and will not be at the birth. My partner has 2 kids and at times makes me feel uncomfortable with how involved he wants his family to be in the hospital. I feel that he is putting their wants before mine.

My goal is to have as natural of a labor as possible while still being in the hospital environment. I’m looking for someone who can provide encouragement, reassurance, and calming support throughout labor, and help me stay focused and comfortable using natural pain-management techniques such as breathing, movement, positioning, and relaxation. This is very important to me because I want to feel supported, confident, and empowered during the birth process. I would love someone who can help advocate for my preferences if needed and create a positive, calm atmosphere during labor. As far as budget, I’m not completely sure yet, but I’m open to discussing options and finding something that works.

I am currently 21 weeks pregnant with my first child and looking for a doula to offer support/education prior to delivery as well as support during delivery. I have coverage for a doula through my Anthem insurance and would like to use that coverage if possible

we plan to give birth at Bon Secour St. Mary's hospital. We're first time parents but are a little older (32 & 40) and would love some extra help in the delivery room and after birth. So far we've had very few complications and are hoping to have a natural birth with an epidural for pain management with very few if any friends and family around.

I am hoping for a VBAC after a semi-traumatic cesarean experience. I believe my best chances to achieve this would be through help of a doula and a midwife, as the current OB I see pushed for an early induction last time and I can feel that's the direction she's pushing for this second pregnancy. The OB only pushed for induction and brought up cesarean based on baby's projected size. First son was 8lbs 12.5oz at birth; so not small, but certainly not over 10lbs as they had insisted. My current plan is to give birth at Henrico Doctor's Hospital (where I delivered my first), but am open to other options such as a home birth or a birthing center. I would love to try for unmedicated this go around. I am not a high-risk pregnancy, I have a healthy BMI, baby is healthy, no gestational diabetes, no markers for preeclampsia or hypertension, so I believe and feel strongly that I can attempt a VBAC + TOLAC.
