I have MA health revere medical I want a midwife. More holistic approach to birth and newborn care. Not opposed to epidural but I want less intervention and hospital setting
1. Beth Israel Boston 2. 3k 3. Currently in the early stages of creating a birth plan. I want to avoid a c-section if possible. My mother is no longer with us and having that extra female support is what I am looking for. Especially in the room during delivery.
Hospital Birth, not sure of budget, not sure of birthing plan
Birth Plan hospital birth I would like a physiological vaginal birth in a calm, low-stimulation environment. I prefer minimal lighting (dim lights or fairy lights) and a quiet, supportive atmosphere. I request no cervical checks unless medically necessary or unless I give consent. I would like to avoid medical interventions, including induction, artificial rupture of membranes (water breaking), IV fluids, and epidural, unless they are medically necessary or I request it. I would like to be informed and give consent before any interventions are performed. I prefer to labor and push in positions that feel natural to me, following my body’s cues rather than coached pushing. After birth, I would like delayed cord clamping until the cord has completely stopped pulsating. I prefer a natural delivery of the placenta without manual removal or medications, unless medically necessary. I would also like to keep my placenta. Immediately after delivery, I want uninterrupted skin-to-skin contact for at least one hour, and to delay routine newborn procedures unless medically necessary. I understand that situations may arise that require medical intervention. If so, I ask that all options be clearly explained to me and that I am included in decision-making whenever possible. Estimated budget 1000-12000 hoping my health insurance can cover it all. Me and my girlfriend are expecting in August and would love to have a home birth and also be educated during the process to prepare ourselves as much as possible for our daughter
1. I will be giving birth at Umass in Worcester 2. I’m really not sure the typical cost of a doula, I’m looking to get more information. 3. My plan is for a VBC but I do have a subchorionic hematoma and I am 24 weeks and at is currently breech so I’m not sure if it will happen for me. I want to be prepared and ready and find a doula that fits my needs in the chance I do get to have my dream of a vaginal delivery!
We plan on giving birth at the hospital as it is our first and I found out I have gestational diabetes. We don't know what to expect for budgeting for a doula, we're hoping to have someone who's fully authorized and certified with Tricare for direct billing. Natural birth, hopefully unmedicated, lots of movement, and showers hopefully helping with the pain. I'm really wanting to try to deliver vaginally, but I'm nervous about my size and pain management.
