Unfortunately, I haven't received the prenatal care I needed for much of my pregnancy due to switching OB-GYNs and dealing with other challenges. As a result, I've often felt dismissed during appointments, and it's been difficult to feel heard or supported by my medical providers. I'm hoping to find a doula who can be a supportive presence during the remainder of my pregnancy, help me prepare for birth, and provide reassurance and advocacy during labor and delivery. I would like to stay flexible while aiming for as low-intervention of a birth as safely possible. Pain management options are still being considered, and I value education, informed decision-making, movement/position support during labor, partner involvement, and postpartum recovery guidance. My Cheristian faith is very important to me, and my husband and mother-in-law will both be present during labor. I’m planning on an epidural. Do you regularly attend births at ChristianaCare, and are you certified through the Delaware Certification Board?”

I plan to give birth in a hospital. I’m hoping insurance will cover the costs. I’d like my birth to go as natural as possible although I’m not against the epidural if labor gets too intense. Since my first caesarean, I feel as if I need a health-minded individual to literally protect me when I can’t think straight during labor. Thank you!
