My first birth was in a hospital setting and everything went great up until the last couple of hours. I thank having extra support with me could have helped tremendously. 1. Our first baby (a girl!) is due in October. I am planning for an unmedicated birth at Intermountain Lutheran Hospital in Lakewood. I'm specifically looking for guidance on cueing during labor for different positional changes, guided breathwork, and advocacy with the hospital staff. My husband will be with me for the labor and delivery and will be my birthing partner. We would love to find a doula who is comfortable in a hospital setting and has a calming but firm presence. We would also love someone comfortable with changing conditions through the process (i.e. having to transition to a c-section or ending up needing an epidural) as that flexibility and guidance is very important to us.
