Find Birth Doula Jobs Near Littleton, CO

I’m currently under care of a midwife/OB group that delivers at Swedish or Littleton Adventist, but I’m planning to transfer to Colorado Birth and Wellness once I’ve done my 12 week bloodwork and appointment. And if for some reason I risk out of the birth center, I likely will try to work with the midwives at Anshutz even though they’re much further from my home than Swedish or Littleton. Budget is somewhat flexible but ideally no more than $1500-2000 each for birth doula and postpartum doula, but for the right fit, willing to adjust. I very much would like a “butter birth” aka, smooth, few stalls, lots of laboring at home, arriving at birth place to get through transition and deliver, little to no medical interventions, no epidural. Using the Body Ready Method program for body prep. Would strongly prefer someone certified in the Body Ready Method for birth doula, but open to chatting with doulas trained in Spinning Babies etc. instead. This will be our first living child. Very much want someone who can support me while not feeling good (I can be very needy when feeling sick) and support my husband as we navigate birth and postpartum. Bonus points for a postpartum doula willing and able to come support me and my husband in the next couple weeks (right now) as we continue to navigate pregnancy nausea and all the hardship that brings. As well as a postpartum doula able to support us postpartum for a daytime shift or two per week.

I will be giving birth in a hospital. I am interested in the idea of an unmedicated and/or water birth but don't feel super strongly about that. I would like support during the labor and delivery process. I am hoping to find a doula that is mainly covered through Tricare insurance.

I currently am 8 weeks pregnant. I had a c-section May 11, 2024 at Rose hospital. My first labor and delivery were very unpredictable and I am left with some grief regarding my first experience. I am currently trying to understand if a VBAC is a viable option for me. We are planning to birth at a birth center (still touring which one). We will have a backup option at a hospital. I'm hoping to stay right at or under 1,000 for the doula. Hoping to interview a handful of doulas and find the right fit. My hope is to meet in person more than once before giving birth, if possible. My husband is excited to be involved. I am a planner, I like details and back up plans, but also know that an open mind is necessary for this process. I'm open to various levels of experience, I just want someone that has been a part of all the different types of birth and ways it can go -- as well someone that believes in and has helped women achieve unmedicated birth.

I would like to have an epidural as the last option. I've pain medication would be my second choice. I would like my husband to be included in as much of the birth as possible.

Hi! My husband Tim and I are expecting. It is my first pregnancy and am currently 32w4d with our son. We see a maternal fetal medicine team at UC Health Anschutz. I have a rare lung disease that adds complications to my pregnancy, called LAM. We want help creating the best labor experience so that I can have a vaginal delivery without assistance of forceps/vacuum which is what my providers are leaning towards. The concern is the strain from labor can cause a collapsed lung. We’re hoping to stay under $1500 all in.
