She speaks multiple languages 5. She has connections all throughout Miami Dade, which is helpful for a new mom 6. She's not just available before and during birth, she is available AFTER birth as well. 7. She has connections to midwives, physicians, and community leaders 8. She will support you throughout the entire birthing process. This is critical. 9. She is highly communicative - if you message her, you will get a response 10. She has a deep understanding of the human body given her background as a UM grad and high school medical program. She is a sweet and kind person as well. Her work has been featured throughout the country, and she is considered an expert in her field. She mentors other doulas and is a successful business woman, but she will still make you feel like a priority despite her busy schedule. You will never feel like a number. In your most intimate moment of life, you want someone who is there for you. Your child is your most important asset, do not leave it to chance. As I close this, I want to mention that Esther understands breastfeeding. Breastfeeding and pumping takes intention, strategy, and planning. Having a doula who is also a breastfeeding expert is extremely helpful and saves money down the line (no formula if that's your desire). As someone who is extremely discerning about services, I whole heartedly recommend Esther and you won't be disappointed.

Esther exceeded my expectations! I went into labor before we had our prenatal sessions but I was pleasantly surprised by how well we worked together! She was attentive and provided me with all the information I needed as the labor progressed and was able to keep me comfortable for the entire labor using different techniques! My postpartum experience has also been great from her checking in on us to her helping me realize I have what it takes to breastfeed my baby when I had started to give up and opt to pumping! Book her first! Then read my testimonial! Because by the time you are done reading many reviews (like I do before booking any one) someone's already booked her and she can't assist you because your due date falls on the same date as someone else! Danmmm! Now my story: I learned about Esther through my wife's OB and it was one of the best decisions I made for my family. Esther had not worked with my OB particularly but they had heard great things about each other. So I got her information and did some research. After speaking to a couple of doulas, she was the only one that didn't feel "commercial". What confirmed Esther was the right choice for my family was that my sister coincidentally met Esther at a business function and she as well got some  great feedback and recommended that we call Esther. Our initial meeting with Esther was professional and friendly. She spoke about her role as a Doula, what we should expect from her, what to expect from ourselves and she answered all our questions. My Wife liked Esther but was hesitant because she wanted to use the money for the Baby instead. After Esther's call I knew that she was the one to help us navigate this new journey. My wife is a GEM, she sometimes minimizes herself for me and already for our baby. So it didn't matter what my wife said, I was going to hire Esther regardless of what she said so I did! Esther has a team of Doulas working for her but we specifically wanted Esther! I got the Esther package, I call it that because she has a specific way she likes to work with expecting mother and it was great! We practiced Hypno birthing, we talked about all the myths and fear surrounding birth and it DOESN'T NEED TO BE A PAINFUL MEMORY OR NIGHTMARE. When Esther said that 90% of her clients have vaginal births, I can see why: trust in the BREATHING! During this time of uncertainty, you need an advocate! You need someone that you can trust to guide you and explain to you everything step by step. Additionally, she doesn't focus on the mom only, Esther focuses on the family and that includes the Father/Husband. From the day that My Wife got admitted, Esther was with us every step of the way! She reminded us of our jobs! So we moved around the room, we danced, we stretched, When My Wife's surges(contractions) were intense, My Wife leaned on Esther like I never before and Esther was right there with her. Yes! My Wife got the Epidural for the pain but through the Hypno birthing, she had no episiotomy or Perineum tear! Please keep this in mind, our outcome was the product of Esther's guidance and US FOLLOWING her teachings. The pregnant woman NEEDS to practice her breathing and relaxing the body everyday until the big day! If you haven't been practicing, you can't expect yourself to execute when it's showtime! With that said, all above is excluding complicated births, emergency C sections and other life threatening situations. Additionally, ask all your questions and express all your concerns, if she doesn't know something, she will either research it or refer you to someone with thy expertise. Words cannot express my deepest gratitude and appreciation that I have for Esther McCant! She is an incredible person! We will definitely be calling her for Baby #2 and #3!

Esther came to my rescue to help with nursing the day we were discharged from the hospital. I did not get adequate guidance from the hospital staff but thankfully for Esther, I was able to feel most confident in feeding our baby. She was supportive, encouraging and extremely knowledgeable. As a man of a recent VBA2C homebirth experience with Doula Esther McCant, (Metro Mommy Agency) I have one word to describe the process from beginning to end; AMAZING! Amazing because of the service, professionalism, and knowledge that Esther provided for my wife and I during the recent homebirth of our beautiful daughter. I must admit, my wife mentioned her strong desire for a homebirth when we first found out about our pregnancy, I was 100%, categorically opposed to the "homebirth" experience. Nine months ago, my ideology about babies being born was "it is an emergency" and we need the medical doctors and nurses PRESENT-- and especially since my wife had 2 C-sections with our first two daughters, the homebirth option was off the table. I need to see machines hooked up to monitor heart rates, blood pressure, and the whole gamut. Conversely, after our first virtual visit with Esther, my ignorance towards the homebirth experience shifted; I was indoctrinated and have seen the light! Thank you Esther for all your support and dedication to this experience and helping us welcome our baby girl to this world. You are inspirational and Godsent. You didn't simply try to just get us to hire you, you were the teacher and I learned! I don't think I have enough words to show how much I appreciate Esther. her prenatal classes were an amazing anxiety calmer while I was pregnant and her breastfeeding course was also topnotch. When it cam to actually delivering my baby, Esther was incredible with the massages, mental game and support. She helped me really take control of the pain, she's the reason I didn't ask for an epidural. She helped me get through those contractions. Then her postpartrum care was so helpful, she checked in on us many times and made sure we got lots of info and support. Worth her weight in gold. Hire her are your doula, no regrets.

Esther was an AMAZING Doula! (And still is!!) I was on my third pregnancy when I contacted her. I already had two previous children (Ages 17- natural birth - and the second one, age 11 - Cesarean). So it was like starting over again for me. A Doula from Texas referred me to Esther since we live in the same area. Our first consultation was like talking to my sister. I learned more about pregnancy and childbirth after our first consultation, and even more, when I attended her Childbirth Education classes, than I have ever learned. After discussing my plan to have a VBAC (Vaginal Birth after Cesarean), she helped me mentally and physically prepare for what's to come. She helped eliminate all of my fears of labor and birth with her extensive knowledge and educational content. Her presence during the birth of my daughter was such a tremendous help. She picked up the phone within the first ring (after my water broke at home), and she was on her way to see me promptly. She helped me NOT PANIC (LOL) during contractions on my way to the hospital. She was very professional and nurturing and very calming while I felt like I wanted to lose control. She even had some aromatherapy oils! While I was going through labor, she collaborated with my Doctor and nurses on my behalf to inform them of my plan. The staff followed through. Not only did she help ME, but she also helped the dad by educating him as well of what's going on. We both put our full trust in her. My daughter, Sage, was born within three hours from the water breaking to delivery. All natural, no pain medicine, no induction, no rupture (even after a C-Section), no episiotomy, no tearing....nothing, came a beautiful and healthy baby girl. I truly believe that my ability to keep calm and my Doula's way of changing my perspective on how childbirth should be, greatly attributed to such an amazing birth. Not only did she stop there, but she was there for me throughout postpartum (and postpartum depression) even if it was just for a listening ear. If I had to do it all over again, I definitely would! I highly recommend Esther as your doula. She isn't only a doula, she's also that friend. That sister.
