I do not have a provider that I regularly see, and I am interested in establishing care with a midwife. I would love to plan for a home birth. I experience significant anxiety, and I know that being in my home environment would provide the calm and sense of safety I need for both myself and my baby to support a positive birth experience. I am also interested in the option of laboring and or birthing in water. (want natural birth) We do have a deep bathtub at home, but I am also open to using a birthing pool if recommended. For my first appointment, I am also in need of a Pap smear and breast exam. Ideally, I am hoping to find a midwife who can both assist with a home birth and provide prenatal care through office visits. I am located in Shelbyville, Kentucky. Thank you so much for your time. I will be having the baby at Grandview Medical Center, I don’t have a budget. I plan on having an epidural and either going into labor naturally (mucus plug breaks on its own) or getting induced if my baby is past the 40 week point.
