I’m currently 28 weeks along (just entered my third trimester) with my second baby. I’m looking for an out-of-hospital midwife to help me plan for my home birth and postpartum care. I delivered my first baby in a hospital and I am choosing to not go that route again this time. I had a bad experience and it was not beneficial to me, my husband, or my baby. My birth plan as of right now only consists of birthing at home with just my husband present and the midwife. I would like to broaden my birth plan with a midwife. I’m interested in having a midwife come to my house once every two weeks for now and then once a week a few weeks before I go into labor. (I’ve never had a midwife so I’m unaware of how often they work with the pregnant mothers.) I’m also interested in seeing if Medicaid covers for an in-home midwife or not, and if not what the cost would be.
1+ years of experience, CPR Certification, feeding of baby needed at night, cleaning bottles at night, 1-2 times a week for the first 6 weeks, not sure how much it usually is for this kind of service so we can talk about it
Need someone to help for a smooth labor. As well as prepping for breastfeeding and a Smooth transition home. Would also love help at home
