About me

I'm Frances Hartley, an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant honored to be serving families on the Big Island of Hawai'i. I provide compassionate Breastfeeding Support. Insurance accepted for many in-home appointments. I first became interested in lactation when I was struggling to breastfeed my first child who had a tongue tie, along with other complications from pregnancy and birth. The caring, compassionate and practical support that I received from Lactation Consultants was life changing for me. I wanted to provide that for others. I've been working with breastfeeding familes since 2016 at a number of hospitals in the Tacoma and Seattle area in Washington State, and through non-profits and private practice on Big Island. During my work in maternity wards I noticed many families go home from the hospital sleep deprived, overwhelmed and with a real need for more breastfeeding help and education. I am here to provide that care and follow up, to help you achieve your goals and to support your family in this new life transition.
