Inquiring cost for home birthing and lactation training. On my 4 child don’t have much of a birthing plan. I just want a baby and I to be comfortable and safe and learn how to manage the pain when the day comes.

Hi, I plan to give birth Katz Womens Hospital LIJ in New Hyde Park. My budget is 2,000. My husband and I currently live in Maine but are moving to Long Beach in April. we have a lot of things up in the air right now and switching OBs half way through pregnancy has me a little anxious. I dont think I will be able to build the relationship I would like with my OB / OB office in NY as much as I would like. So I would like to work with a doula before during and after birth to have some support and a familiar face during this process. This is my first pregnancy. I am currently doing a hypnobirthing course. I dont not have a full outline birth plan yet.

Latching issue- baby unable to latch correctly and nipples are bruised already

We are having trouble getting milk to drain from the breasts. My wife is a NYC school teacher and has GHI Insurance.

Baby cannot latch I have started to pump recently and I have milk coming but the baby can’t latch because of nipple being big Also I had a cesarean birth… it delayed a bit the milk

My daughter has a shallow latch and it causes me pain when I try to nurse. Also I don’t think she gets enough milk when she nurses, she always takes a bottle afterward even though I produce enough milk.

Hello, My wife recently gave birth to our son on 11/24/25. He has been eating consistently, but while he matched his birth weight after 1 week, he has actually lost 1.5 ozs in the last two weeks. She is interested in working with someone on how to best use our pump, and also deal with some nipple pain, among some other questions and issues she has to ensure she is feeding our son effectively and efficiently. We have an Aetna Elect-Choice Open Access plan and are located in Prospect Lefferts Gardens in Brooklyn. We are looking for at least one in-home visit to make sure she is using the pump correctly.
