Hi Lacey, we are currently looking for a doula as I am about to start my 3rd trimester. We are primarily interested in the services provided leading up to and the day of delivery. I am planning on delivery at St. David's North Austin hospital, but live in Rockdale, so timing and preparation are key! We are currently interviewing doulas and your profile seems to be a good match for what we are interested in. Do you have availability to discuss further?

My name is Delaney Coleman, I’m 29 years old and pregnant with my first baby. I found out on March 28 that I am pregnant, and I am excited and nervous. Depending on cost, I’ll probably end up giving birth at a hospital, but my ideals line up more with midwifery/birthing center processes. My estimated budget is probably no more than $500 if that is even possible. I don’t know the general charge for a doula, but I would love a very experienced one who can advocate for me and my husband when we are stressed out and vulnerable at and after the birth. I would like a physiological, uninterrupted birthing experience. Cervical checks are not needed unless there is a medical emergency. My water will break naturally. I do not consent to manual rupture unless absolutely necessary. I will push when and how my body tells me to. I do not want coached pushing unless I ask for guidance. Hands-off approach during pushing unless I request support. Warm compresses only if I ask. I will choose the position I give birth in. Low lighting and minimal noise in the room. Cord clamping should not be done until the cord is white and no longer pulsing. The placenta will detach and deliver on its own. Up to one hour after birth is normal and safe. After one hour, if there are medical concerns, intervention may be necessary. No cord traction, pitocin, or medications to speed placenta delivery unless there is an emergency. Immediate skin-to-skin after birth. No separation from my baby unless medically necessary. All procedures and medications for my baby must be clearly explained beforehand. I want uninterrupted bonding time after birth. We would NOT like any Vitamin K to be given to our daughter or heel pricks done, unless she is born by vacuum, forceps or cesarean My husband or myself will cut the cord I would prefer if nobody was to take or hold my daughter unless there’s a medical emergency This is what felt right and safe for me and my body. Every birth is different this was simply my choice. I do have Tourette Syndrome, which I can go into further detail about with my future doula. I am predisposed to potentially have twins (runs in my family, has always been fraternal twins). Any other duties would probably simply be to help me prepare for baby and help me possibly with some lactation consulting. Otherwise, I have some family members who can come over the first bit and help with household chores if need be. Unfortunately, due to my insurance type, I am not sure what will be covered in care, so the lowest charging with most experience doula is right up my alley! I don’t really know how this goes.

First time unprepared mom, who just needs help & extra support from someone with better knowledge about what is best to do before, during, and after child birth. I’m just getting a feel to see what’s out there, I don’t even know if I can afford it 😮‍💨

I plan to give birth to my first baby Angelo at st david’s center in austin, by 32nd st. I’m hoping to go through my insurance with the cost, I wish/want to give birth naturally and hold off on getting the epidural for as long as possible, while using nitrous oxide.

Home help with chores and baby watching, preferably Spanish speaking or second language, and budget around 400-600 a week.

I plan to give birth at home as I have done with two of my other children. We live out in the country. I don't know what postpartum doula typically charge, but we don't have a ton of money. My birth plan is fairly standard since it will be at home. We are a Christian family and hold strong Christian values. We are at peace being at home and we love the comfort of having everything we need right around us and not having to do much traveling and getting out once baby is here.

1) 5 years experience, English speaking, certifications. 2)new born help feed at night, mom is dealing with severe mastitis and husband is leaving town, change diaper. 3) just running the bottles in the bottle washer

Putting out my feelers now for a night nanny/doula and what the cost may be; Our budget is small given that this will be our second child (currently enrolled in daycare) so we are open to maybe 2-3 nights a week if we cannot afford more. Our hope is that the night nanny/night Doula would be able to assist in feeding, changing and helping clean pumps parts once I finish. We’re planning on a hospital birth in the event I have complications like I do with my first child.

Light housekeeping and meal prep. Occasional help with baby such as watching them when / if I shower / exercise etc. certifications and background check required along with real life references. Ideally looking for overnight support once a week.

First pregnancy, need someone to couch me and be an advocate while giving birth. I have anxiety around birth and I need someone who can help me stay calm. Giving birth in a hospital, not sure on budget yet. Would like to work towards an unmedicated birth but if need be would be willing to make sure baby and myself are safe.

Hospital birth, 1st time mom Prefer natural birth, limited medical intervention

Hey! So I'm planning my 3rd birth. The first was an emergency c- section and the second also a c-section, 4yrs ago. I had a very unsupportive/hands off midwife previously. I've found an amazing midwife this time and am planning a VBAC. Currently planning a birthing center birth (birthing center is in Bastrop Texas) but considering homebirth.. I'm not supper stuck on a particular bith plan. My goal is a healthy baby and a bit of redemption from my previous births that didn't go the way I planned at all. I'm a Christian, mildly crunchy farm mom who just wants a calm, peaceful birth resulting in a healthy baby and minimal trauma! 😅 I'm looking for a support person to remind me I am capable and keep me focused. I had post partum depression last time so some postpartum support may be good for me, although I have more family support this time too! We don't have insurance. I don't know what a doula costs typically, that's part of why I'm reaching out, to see if this could be an option for us. Thanks!!

My plan is to give birth at the hospital. I don't know how much postpartum doula is so I'm open. I've had difficult births in the past just hoping for a safe and quiet birth. It's only myself and my husband who works a lot of out of town jobs or stays late. My mom is elderly so she doesn't have much time to help me. I've had horrible post partum before. Just hoping for night help with our newborn.
