I’m starting to get angry, I’m very tired. I need help around my house. I need help cleaning. I need someone to be there for me in my mental health. I need someone to tell me that this is going to be OK and everyone goes through this and to help me sort out my mind and get my mind, right I just want to be happy with my child and I’m not as happy as I can be with him right now and I don’t know how to change things. I do not work. Hi! This is my first pregnancy and delivery. I am planning to give birth at Advent Health’s UChicago at Hinsdale. I was looking for doula services that would be covered by my Medicaid’s BCBS Community health insurance. My hope is to have a vaginal delivery. I believe a doula can be my source of the much needed guidance, assistance, and strength I’ll require experiencing labor and delivery for the first time. I don’t have an exact budget, an I would just like someone aside from my husband who is able to speak up for me and assist me with laboring the way I want to. Hi! I wanted to share a little about the support I’m hoping for during labor. I’d really like to try for an unmedicated birth if possible, so having help with breathing, positioning, and counter pressure during contractions would mean a lot. My priorities are being able to move freely, delivering in the position I choose, delayed cord clamping, and keeping interventions minimal if everything is safe. I’d also love a calm, dark, peaceful environment. My pregnancy has IUGR, so there’s a chance I may need to deliver earlier than expected. I’m hoping for someone who can support me emotionally, help advocate for me if needed, and also guide my partner on how he can best support me during labor.
