I’m looking for a postpartum doula to support me and my family as we welcome our second child. My goal is to have a positive, supported postpartum experience — both physically and emotionally — while adjusting to life with a newborn and a busy toddler. I plan to birth vaginally in the hospital, as I did with my first, and I did not have a doula previously. This time, I would love more hands-on support and guidance during the recovery and adjustment period at home. One of my biggest priorities is breastfeeding support. With my first son, he spent the first four days in the nursery and had difficulty latching once we were together. I also have inverted nipples, which added to the challenge. I worked with a lactation consultant, but it became overwhelming trying to balance nursing and pumping, and I eventually transitioned to exclusively pumping.
