About me

Hi y’all my name is Hallee, founder of Haven Harbor Doula Care. I am a new birth and postpartum doula. I have specialized in caring for infants for the past few years and now I’m moving forward into doula care. I am in the process of getting certified through DONA International and will be fully certified soon. Although certification is not necessary to start working as a doula, I felt it was the best route for me to feel fully confident in my abilities to support new parents and family’s. I am new to the greater Nashville area and am so excited to start supporting family’s to the best of my abilities!

Service introduction

I offer birth and postpartum doula services. For my birth doula services I offer a flat fee for the birth and pre and post birth meetings, along with a free interview and a $50 consultation. As your birth doula I help you mentally, physically, and emotionally prepare for birth to the best of my ability, I also help answer any questions and concerns you might have, and help share resources to support you if it is out of my scope. We build a birth plan together, (along with backup plans), and help establish the kind of support you are wanting/needing from me during the birth itself. We do this during our consultation and our meeting closer to the actual birth date. Then there is a follow up postpartum meeting if you do not also book my postpartum services as well, that is included in the birth fee as well. For my postpartum services, I charge per hour. We contract a set number of hours per the postpartum period (ex: 150 hours over 4 weeks), and then we invoice weekly. I help the whole family adjust to a new baby in the home, I have a basic lactation certification to help assist with breastfeeding and if it is out of my scope, refer you to your provider or help connect you with a lactation specialist. I can also assist with other feeding methods such as formula. I can do light house cleaning and food preparation, run errands for you, which will be a part of the contracted hours, diapering, bathing, and most things new baby related! My goal as your postpartum doula is to help support YOU as a new parent to feel confident in your abilities and make sure you have all of the resources and support you need to feel confident after I’m gone.
