Hello, my name is Taylor! I am pregnant with my first baby and have heard about the benefits that a doula can have for a mom who is going through postpartum. Having the extra support when going through a huge change is something I’m very interested in! Someone who can help with things around the house, help me navigate breastfeeding, newborn sleep and all the questions that come up when you have your first baby. My thought is one weekly visit for the first few weeks of postpartum for support during that time. I’m on a budget so if within reasonable cost, it would be a big consideration of ours.

Hello! I am 32 weeks pregnant with my first baby, with an expected due date of December 26, 2026. We live in Mississauga, Ontario, and are planning a hospital birth at Credit Valley Hospital. My husband and I are looking for a compassionate, experienced birth doula who can support both of us throughout labour and birth. We would also love to have 1–2 short in-home prenatal sessions to help us prepare for labour, learn comfort measures, breathing techniques, and understand how my husband can best support me during birth. We are hoping to find an independent doula or an apprentice doula who offers a more affordable, customized package rather than a full agency or private clinic package. Our budget is approximately $800–1,200 CAD, if possible. We would appreciate information about your availability around my due date, your services, and any flexible or reduced packages you may offer. I'm doing a home birth. We financially don't have a hard budget. I'd like a home birth that is peaceful (although intense) and to give birth in a water. I'd like my partner to be there with my care team and no one else. I'd like a certified doula, years of experience doesn't matter too much to me rather just someone I'm comfortable around in that intimate space. I speak English only. Would ideally want the doula to help for the first part of labor where we're waiting to get get to full dilation and then post partum for any help with care for my body and potentially a meal or do that can brought or made so my husband and I don't need to worry about that.
