I’m looking for a kind, patient, and supportive doula who will help me feel calm and confident throughout labor and delivery. This is an important experience for me, and I’d like someone who will advocate for my wishes, provide emotional encouragement, and offer comfort measures such as breathing techniques, massage, position changes, and relaxation support. I would like a doula who respects my birth preferences, communicates well with my medical team, and also supports my partner or family members during labor. I want someone who creates a positive, peaceful environment and helps me feel informed and empowered throughout the entire process. Postpartum support and breastfeeding guidance would also be appreciated if available. * I’m hoping for an unmedicated birth, or I’d like support even if I choose an epidural or need a C-section.

Hospital will be at Palos Heights Hospital in Tinley Park, IL I would like a natural birth but may possibly get the epidural. Insurance is BCBS IL PPO I never had a doula and currently having to manage pregnancy alone at 30 weeks. I would just like extra support for an easier and healthy delivery. I would like someone between 35 and older who is certified and have some deliveries under their belt.

I would prefer a hospital birth, I don’t know what to budget as I don’t even know what the range may be, I am looking for a ob/midwife that allows past 40 weeks, allows different birthing positions, and on the same page as me.

Giving birth at advocate christ hospital. Looking for queer friendly birthing doula to help advocate in hospital for needs/wants, specifically around gender and sexuality for my wife and I and baby as we are not assigning baby a gender at birth and will be using they/them pronouns for baby. We plan on giving birth at OSF Little Company of Mary Hospital. We would like to delay chord clamping, delay bathing and introduce bare skin contact as soon as possible. We would like to delay examination. For the birth we would like to only use an epidural if absolutely necessary and would like to try other forms of pain reduction (nitric oxide); also limiting cervix checks. Not quite sure of an estimated budget. Postpartum, would like assistance in breastfeeding and getting the placenta into pill form for nutrients.

Cryptic pregnancy finding out 31 weeks pregnant at 10 week ultrasound appointment. I am extremely overwhelmed and unprepared. I am planning to give birth at hospital.
