But, my labors tend to be 16-20 hours (even after all these babies), and I tend to get so tired. Could use a little more support than just hubby. Looking for someone who will help come up with more solutions to pain management and energy replenishing/saving. I have a bag of tools I know work for me, but I am open to all the input! I am a first time mom 34 year old I Will be giving birth at Kaiser Ontario. I'd like to utilize my kaiser insurance for the doula service.

I just need someone who I feel can educate me on what I don’t know and someone who is interested in helping me advocate for myself. I keep feeling like the medical industry isn’t interested in helping me and I just want someone who cares about helping and wants to be there

My goal for this birth is to have a calm, natural, and empowering experience with as few medical interventions as possible. My first preference is a planned home birth, with a birth center as my second choice if home birth is not appropriate. I would like to have an unmedicated labor and birth, with the freedom to move around, change positions, use comfort measures, and listen to my body throughout labor. I would like my doula/midwife to provide continuous emotional and physical support, encouragement, and guidance while helping me feel informed and involved in decisions throughout the process. I want to create a peaceful environment where I can feel safe, supported, and confident in my ability to birth my baby. I understand that plans may need to change if a medical concern arises, and I am open to transferring to a hospital if it becomes necessary for my or my baby’s safety. My priority is a healthy baby and a healthy mother while preserving as much of the natural, low-intervention birth experience as safely possible.
