I am planning to give birth at UAB St. Vincent's! I am trying to pay as little as possible after insurance, but I am flexible. I had a C-section for my first pregnancy, and I would like to have a VBAC if possible, but I am open to whatever is safest for baby and me. I do not have specific requirements for the provider, but I want this person to be able to assist me in advocating for myself, as well as assist me in breastfeeding. I currently have 1 14-month-old son, and am approximately 4 weeks pregnant with our second. I was only able to breastfeed him for approximately three months, and I am hoping for this to be different this time around. I could use assistance with cleaning, cooking, laundry, etc after the baby is born. My husband will be on paternity leave, but he is a full-time student; he does help me as much as he can. I have Blue Cross Blue Shield Basic Blue PPO. I live in Alabama, but work remotely for Southern New Hampshire University.
