Hi I am a mother of now about to be my 6th child and had 1st as c section then 4 vbacs in hospital and now pregnant 13 years later with my 6th baby and have always wanted to do water birth, but have been told that I can’t in a hospital because I am considered high risk… So now that I’ve done some research I’ve decided I want to do it at home without medication and as natural as possible and in water bath too… We don’t want to know sex of baby either so having that be a surprise too Thanks for taking time to read this and I am Confident that I can have at home natural labor with help of doula I plan to give birth in my house in Hopkins and go to Abbott hospital after baby is born

First pregnancy and birth at 41 years old. Need someone who can support and older mother. I plan to give birth in a hospital and want to do an epidural but have some fear due to prior health issues. I am a nurse. I am looking for some to advocate for my birth plan and encourage a calm stress free environment as well as help lead counterpressure, breathing, and other non pharmacologic interventions. My goal is a natural water birth. I am giving birth at the ANW mother baby center using the allina midwife group.

Soon after our delivery date we will likely want 3 week nights / week of overnight help. We just started looking at this, so we aren’t sure what certifications, rates, etc. we want, but we are expecting to book ~30 nights of time, at hopefully a deal since we would be booking so many hours. I think we mostly just want baby care, but maybe some sleep training, and might want to add occasional cooking / cleaning dishes later (curious how the rates differ with the additional services)

First baby. Planning on birthing center or possibly home. Need help/ guidance on what to do before, birthing, and post partum

I'd like to have some help during labor. This is my first child and I don't know what to expect or know any pain relief methods. I plan to give birth at a hospital and would like to avoid an epidural if possible.

I will have a hospital birth. I would like as little interventions as possible. Less than $1000 is my budget.

My current plan is to deliver at Saint Francis Hospital, but I am open to other suggestions. I heard the Scheduler say that they are going through a lot of changes which makes me nervous. Being in the healthcare field, I know that patient care gets overlooked when these changes are happening. I do not know the average cost of Doula services. Am I able to use an HSA plan? My requirements for the provider is that they have assisted in 20 or more births. I would like them to be a good teacher as I like to learn about the process. I have done one of my physical therapy clinicals as a physical therapist and pelvic health and would like to understand what my body is going through from a personal perspective. My birth plan is in the process of being created. Ideally, as little intervention as possible. I don’t want to rule out use of pain medication‘s as I have no idea how I’ll feel on the day of labor, however, most of the people I know who have gotten an epidural look back in regret it due to it stalling and /or slowing their labor. I need somebody who can take the responsibility off of my husband too help me navigate those decisions on the day of. I just want him to be able to be present and help me.
