It’s my first baby, I’m hoping for a natural birth with the nitrogen oxide (the laughing gas stuff) and maybe even for a water birth if I enjoy it. I also want training in how to breastfeed, care for a newborn, and just labor and delivery. I’m 20 years old. I am still deciding on where I’ll be giving birth at, as I’m moving currently closer to the cities (but still 20-30 minutes away. My insurance covers a doula. I have blue earth shield insurance.

I plan to give birth in a birthing center! As a ftm I want to do a water birth, and prefer my environment to be calm and peaceful. I’m not sure on a budget right now, just exploring my options as I’ve never had a doula before. I’d prefer someone with at least 2+ years of experience, cpr certified, someone my fiancé and I could rely on and trust with our little one, someone with patience and a bubbly personality, someone who has a real passion for caring for children/babies.
