I’m really nervous about labor and delivery. I want an epidural and am good with medical intervention. I’m nervous that my husband won’t be calm during the birthing process. I need someone who can help me be calm through it and help coach my husband through it. I also am nervous about being very vulnerable during birth and consent is very important for me and want to make sure I feel comfortable and not taken advantage of. Giving birth at Sibley I’m also very nervous about postpartum. This is my first pregnancy

I’m not totally sure so starting there would be great. I know that I want to work with someone that takes insurance (BCBS).

We’re moving midway through the pregnancy to the DC region, Maryland side. We’ll probably live in the Rockville area but I’m hoping to give birth with the midwives at George Washington University’s hospital. I’m looking for a labor doula to support an unmediated birth. I also struggled with low supply with my first child so I’m hoping to find a lactation consultant who specialises in that. We have Tricare, which covers both doulas and IBCLCs.

Would love in-home visits in November. Especially help with breast feeding.

Struggling with breastfeeding, burning nipples turning white, have been pumping

6 days old with a shallow latch and painful feeds for the most part. Seen by pediatrician and thought to have a tongue tie. Just really trying to get a good deep latch to prevent painful feeds.

I have a 11 week old that is having trouble with a weak latch ok the breast and weak oral function. She’s had a tongue tie release at 5 weeks. I also have low milk supply and have tried it all to try to increase it. I would like to still give breastfeeding and pumping a shot as long as I’m able to, with hopes of improving her latch.

I am 26 years old and this is my first child so I would like someone to just give me advice and basically be there for me through this journey. I would like to give birth at a birthing center close to a hospital if I need to go to it, but I am not opposed to going to the hospital I just don't want to have the baby on my back. My budget is under $2,000 preferably. I also would like to try and breast feed to know what drinks or food I can intake now to help with that. I am also a picky eater so helping me come up with a balanced diet would also be a great help as well. I just would like to prep on what I should be doing each month and things I need to order so that I can already have it before the baby comes.

I am looking for a doula to have guidance on having a mother vaginal birth following a cesarean birth from my last pregnancy. I want to avoid that happening again and especially avoid that healing process I had to go through with my little boy.

I gave birth to my beautiful first child, Margeaux, four days ago. We worked with a lactation specialist in the hospital and she seemed to be doing well and making wet and soiled diapers for two days before discharge. Since then, she has only produced 1 wet diaper a day and her feedings have become very painful for me, especially when constantly pursued over night. I am unable to sleep and my child refuses to sleep anywhere but on me and when she is awake she only wants my nipple. I worry my body is not producing enough colostrum. She is losing weight but the pediatritian told me to not supplement with formula and to always allow my child access to my nipples. Feeling very defeated and could use help. Hello, I am interested in receiving support for my daughter’s latch. She is my second breastfed baby; she has a tongue tie we have been able to get her latch to where she is no longer causing me pain. However she is sucking in a lot of air while she nurses and it is causing her discomfort later with gas and burps I can’t get out of her.
