Hi, I’m Isabel Price, an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and founder of Motherhood Begins Lactation & Maternal Care in Austin, Texas. I believe that caring for a baby begins with caring for the mother. My approach goes beyond feeding, focusing on each mother’s physical and emotional well-being while helping her feel supported and confident in her decisions. I have a particular interest in helping families navigate complex feeding challenges, including persistent latch difficulties, painful breastfeeding, suspected tongue and lip ties, bottle refusal, milk supply concerns, and pumping challenges. I take the time to understand each family’s unique situation and create a personalized plan that works for them. Whether your goal is to breastfeed, pump, combination feed, or wean, I’m here to help you reach your goals with compassionate, judgment-free support.

Motherhood Begins offers personalized lactation support for families throughout Austin and surrounding areas. Services include prenatal consultations, breastfeeding and bottle-feeding support, latch difficulties, tongue and lip tie concerns, bottle refusal, milk supply management, pumping and flange fitting, and weaning guidance. I also support families navigating complex feeding challenges, with individualized care focused on both baby’s feeding needs and mother’s well-being. Currently accepting Curative insurance and private pay.
