Ja'Nay was a wonderful night doula, with our daughter during our first 6 weeks transitioning to being a two kid household. She clearly adores babies, spending hours holding and talking to her at night when our daughter wouldn't sleep. Her communication was excellent, and she was always timely. We have a toddler whose bedtime routine often intersected with the baby's space and Ja'Nay was incredibly sweet and accommodating with him, as well as the chaos of our household at the end of a day. We had a medical crisis in the family and had a few nights when multiple family members had to be in and out of our apartment, and Ja'Nay was incredibly flexible and empathetic. We are so grateful for our time with Ja'Nay and recommend her without reservation.

Ja’Nay was my birth doula and also provided daytime and overnight newborn care as needed. Ja’Nay was empathetic, patient, and kind. I had a crazy work schedule when I was pregnant and she was very flexible and accommodating. While I was fortunate to have a straightforward birth for my 2nd delivery, there was one big decision point. Ja’Nay helped me process the trauma from my first birth in the prenatal sessions and then during the birth, she helped me ask for some time and space away from the nurses to really think about what I wanted for my 2nd birth. One thing that really stood out about Ja’Nay was that she stayed with us the first 12 hours after the baby was born, when she could have just left after the birth was over. She helped diaper the baby, helped with breastfeeding/latching and more. In the post partum sessions, Ja’Nay would watch the newborn in the daytime while I got a task done, napped, or took a shower. She never pressured me to go faster and gave me the space to take my time and finish what I needed to. I already knew Ja’Nay from the birth before she served as a night doula for our family, but it was still nerve wracking as a mother to leave my newborn in someone else’s care. That said, I am grateful I was able to get a full night’s sleep with Ja’Nay’s help and when I woke up the next morning I was reassured that she followed my instructions. I recommend Ja’Nay as both a birth doula and a night doula.

Ja’Nay was such a key part in my pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum journey. Not only is she super knowledgeable but she also has a calming vibe that is so appreciated during those high anxiety moments. I’m so grateful for her guidance as she gave me the confidence and tools I needed to have a really positive birth experience.

Review for Doula Ja’Nay As a first-time mom, I truly didn’t know what to expect during pregnancy, delivery, or postpartum—but having Ja’Nay by my side made all the difference in the world. From the very beginning, she was incredibly attentive and present at every check-up appointment. She always came prepared, asked thoughtful questions I hadn’t even considered, and made sure I felt informed and empowered every step of the way. Ja’Nay has a calm and reassuring presence that instantly put me at ease. During delivery, she was my anchor—encouraging, focused, and completely tuned in to my needs. She helped create a peaceful environment, guided me through each stage, and made the experience feel so much more manageable and beautiful than I ever imagined it could be. Her care didn’t stop after birth. Ja’Nay continued to show her thoughtfulness in so many meaningful ways. She welcomed my baby and me home with a beautiful basket full of helpful and comforting items—it truly felt like being embraced by family. I also chose to use her postpartum services for six weeks, and I’m so grateful I did. During that time, she prepared nourishing meals for me, supported my healing journey, and helped me adjust to life with a newborn with so much compassion and grace. Words can’t fully express how thankful I am for Ja’Nay. She is not only a gifted and knowledgeable doula, but a truly special person who pours so much love into what she does. I can’t imagine going through this journey without her, and I would wholeheartedly recommend her to any expecting mom. She made a life-changing experience feel safe, supported, and even joyful.
