About Meagan

I’m the oldest by eight years, and cared for my younger brothers from infancy. It’s where my instinct for this work began. I come from a creative family rooted in art, dance, and self-expression, and spent years as a traveling artist, art teacher, and florist before becoming increasingly holistic in how I live, with a love of herbalism and gardening. After having my own children, I shifted into supporting other families through postpartum, focused on helping parents feel informed, cared for, and grounded. I meet each family where they are, respecting their unique journey and the decisions that are right for them. I’m now a certified postpartum doula, newborn care specialist, and birth doula, pursuing my nursing degree to specialize in Mother-Baby care. I’m a mother of three and have lived in San Francisco for 20 years. I’m a proud LGBTQ+ advocate with experience supporting surrogate families, and I bring the same authenticity to every client. CPR/First Aid certified, fully insured.

Postpartum Doula Support

Hands-on newborn care
Feeding support (breastfeeding, pumping, bottle feeding, combo feeding)
Newborn care education: diapering, bathing, soothing, safe sleep practices
Overnight support (helping with night feeds/soothing so parents can sleep)

Physical recovery guidance and comfort after birth
Emotional support and space to process the birth experience

Birth Doula Support

• On-call availability starting around 36–38 weeks until birth • Continuous, hands-on support once labor begins (home, birth center, or hospital) • Comfort measures: positioning, massage, counter-pressure, breathing techniques • Advocacy and evidence-based information to help you make informed decisions with your care team • Partner support/coaching alongside the birthing person Immediate Postpartum • Presence for 1–2 hours after birth • 1–2 postpartum follow-up visits (sometimes bundled, sometimes sold separately as a postpartum package) • Initial breastfeeding/chestfeeding support

What to expect

Certified postpartum doula, newborn care specialist, and birth doula, currently in school to become a Mother-Baby nurse. I offer informed, calm support through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum — at home or in the hospital. Mother of three and 20-year San Francisco resident. LGBTQ+ advocate with experience supporting surrogate families. CPR/First Aid certified, fully insured. I accept Medi-Cal and provide superbills for insurance/FSA reimbursement.

A: I’m based in San Francisco and serve the greater Bay Area for both birth and postpartum support.

Q: What’s the difference between your birth doula and postpartum doula services?

A: Birth doula support covers pregnancy through delivery — prenatal visits, continuous labor support, and immediate post-birth care. Postpartum support begins after baby arrives and focuses on newborn care, feeding support, and helping you recover and adjust at home.

Q: Do you support hospital births, home births, or both?

A: Both. I’m comfortable and experienced supporting families in hospitals as well as at home.

Q: Are you a certified nurse or medical provider?

A: I’m not a nurse yet — I’m currently in school working toward becoming a Mother-Baby nurse. As a doula and newborn care specialist, I provide informational, emotional, and physical support, not medical care or diagnoses.
