Hello, I’m Ja’Neen Jenkins, MS, LPC, Doula & Founder of the Covered Mama Community. Based in the Shreveport–Benton area of northwest Louisiana, I specialize in trauma-informed birth support and integrative prenatal care that prepares your body and your nervous system for birth. With over 8 years of experience as a licensed therapist and doula, I merge mental-health awareness with the biomechanics of birth through the “Body Ready” method. I believe birth is more than the physical moment, it’s a profound transition that merits ritual, support, and preparation. This includes a 1.5 hour Birth Mapping session + childbirth education support + personalized resource research + virtual support on your birthing day (Zoom link provided). Messaging and call support available as needed during labor. Highly recommended for families who do not need in-person birth attendance but want full preparation and guidance.

Perinatal Coaching (Virtual): 3 Session Package

These sessions focus on physical, emotional, and mental preparation for birth. We incorporate nervous system regulation, pregnancy mindset work, birth biomechanics, postpartum planning, and partner preparation. Receive $25 off the 3 session pack or $50 off the 6 session pack when purchased with the Virtual Doula option.

Do you see clients outside Louisiana?

Yes , these services are virtual, so I support families across multiple states. Coaching + doula can be nationwide. **Currently I ONLY accept client in Louisiana for therapy.

What is a Virtual Doula and how does it work?

A virtual doula supports you through pregnancy and birth through video, voice, and text...offering guidance, birth education, emotional support, and strategic positioning/comfort measures without being physically in the room. **Ja'Neen highly encourages selecting a coaching package with this option.

Do I still need a childbirth class if I book virtual doula services?

Yes, preparation matters. Virtual support works best when paired with intentional childbirth education and birth mapping. This is why I encourage adding coaching sessions to go deeper physically + mentally.

What if I'm not sure what type of support I need?

We can schedule a brief consultation to discuss your birth goals, pregnancy history, and support needs. I’ll help you decide which package fits best.

Do you take insurance for doula or coaching services?

At this time, these services are private pay only.

What if I buy coaching, but end up needing more support later?

You can always add additional sessions or move into a larger package later. No worries, you will not lose your discount opportunities.

What happens on my birthing day with virtual doula support?

You’ll receive a Zoom link for birthing day, and you can call or text as labor progresses. I provide positioning suggestions, nervous system regulation support, mindset coaching, and partner guidance.

Can you work with my partner too?

Absolutely. I WANT to work with any birth support you plan to have throughout your perinatal journey. Partner support is part of the process, they also receive strategies, guidance, and role clarity so they feel confident supporting you.

Do you offer postpartum support?

Yes. Postpartum coaching sessions can be added at any time for emotional regulation, healing support, nervous system recovery, and early parenting adjustment.

Is there a refund policy?

All services are non-refundable. Rescheduling policies will be included at booking.

How much does Janeen charge?

Janeen's Birth Mapping Session Only package is $150 USD, flat rate. Janeen lists 4 packages in all.
