About me

Greetings! My name is JJ (she/her) and I am a full-spectrum birthworker and the founder of Full Spectrum Birthworkers, a Bay Area practice offering reproductive and perinatal care. I accompany people across the whole arc of reproductive life: preconception, pregnancy, birth, postpartum, loss, and release. My approach is holistic, culturally rooted, and body-led, drawing on body literacy, herbal allies, ceremony, consensual touch, and humor to support you in making decisions based on your own needs, wants, and desires. My foundational training includes Reclaim Our Birth Power Academy's Traditional Full Spectrum Birthworker Program, and I continue my practitioner study with The Holy Well's Institute of Liberation Medicine. Clients describe me as steady, warm, unhurried, and unafraid of what arises.

Full Spectrum Birthworkers is a Bay Area practitioner collective tending the womb through every threshold. We believe you deserve care, support, and love at every reproductive transition, not just the ones the medical system recognizes. Our care works through Companionship: one ongoing relationship with our practice, shaped to what you are carrying and held across the time you need to be carried. We offer emotional, physical, informational, and spiritual support through preconception, pregnancy, birth, postpartum, grief and loss, and abortion. Every relationship begins with an inquiry and a consultation, so we can find the right fit together.

Sacred Birth Companion
For those preparing to give birth who want to walk toward it feeling ready, resourced, and genuinely accompanied. This is a full-season relationship, not a service you book and forget. Together we prepare your body, your mind, and your home: prenatal sessions to explore your options and understand what your body is designed to do, creation of your birth preferences, on-call support from 37 weeks, in-person attendance at your birth, and postpartum sessions to help you land softly on the other side. Between sessions, you have me by text. You will walk into your birth knowing your choices, trusting your body, and knowing someone is holding the whole story with you.

Sacred Integration Companion
For the fourth trimester, when the world rushes you forward and your body asks you to slow down. This is hands-on, in-home postpartum care that blends practical help with grounded, heart-forward support: warming nourishment, herbal baths, belly binding, rebozo work, help designing a lying-in that is restorative and realistic, and a steady presence while you learn your baby and re-meet yourself. You will feel tended, not managed, and you will not do this season alone.

Bleeding Heart Companion
For miscarriage, stillbirth, termination, and the losses that so often go unwitnessed. Grief this large deserves more than being sent home to figure it out. I offer physical care for a body moving through loss, herbal support, space for whatever you feel with no required emotional response, and ceremony to mark what was lost, if that holds meaning for you. Support is booked hourly, before, during, or after your loss, wherever you are when you reach me, and can continue for as long as the tending takes.
