Jasmine Meek
About me
Hello, I'm Jasmine Meek – The Bayside Doula. As a Pregnancy & Postpartum Doula, I support women from pregnancy through to 12-months postpartum in Brisbane and Redlands. I guide clients through the transformative journey of pregnancy and postpartum with compassion and expertise. I provide tailored services including education and planning support, practical in-home help, breastfeeding support, and postnatal massage. Your journey is unique, and so is the support I offer. But no matter what, I will encourage, listen, validate, and walk alongside you – infusing your experience with not only peace and joy, but hopefully a profound sense of empowerment. When it might feel like everyone around you is preoccupied with your little one, I will be focused on you. I can also support you through some of the common challenges of motherhood beyond the first few months – for example sleep challenges, anxiety and stress, overwhelming mental load, housework, and food preparation. My focus is always on easing the burdens on mothers. Because to nourish a family, we must first nourish the mother.

Service introduction
Jasmine Meek is a Postpartum Doula working in Brisbane and Redlands, QLD, Australia. She is passionate about making life easier for mothers. Jasmine works with mothers from pregnancy through to 12months postpartum. She provides education around postpartum and motherhood, facilitates women’s circles and mother blessings, and attends the homes of mothers to provide specialised postpartum support. Jasmine trained as a Postpartum and Breastfeeding Professional with Newborn Mothers Collective, obtained a Postnatal Massage certificate through Pregnancy Massage Australia, and holds a Bachelor degree in Psychology. Jasmine especially loves working with mothers experiencing infant sleep issues, having experienced this with her own two babies. A postpartum doula is a professional trained to support a new mother during the period after birth. Postpartum doulas visit clients in their homes and are focused on meeting the mother’s needs. The services a doula provides are so varied, and tailored to each individual client. But in general, they will provide emotional support, birth debriefing, massage, cooking, cleaning, baby care tips, referrals and resource finding, and, very importantly, prenatal planning support.

Ratings and reviews
With Jas we have completed a Postpartum Planning workshop, Breastfeeding Workshop, Mothers Circle and she was our Postpartum Doula. Jas is so warm and comforting. She has extensive knowledge and guidance. When I was focused on the baby, Jas was focused on me. She came into our home and made beautiful, warm nourishing food for me. Held the baby so I could have a nap, helped me with my breastfeeding latch as well. Just knowing I also had someone I could reach out to for help or just to chat made those first 6 weeks a lot less lonely.
