I chose unmedicated birth but love helping my clients understand the risks and benefits to every path to make the best choice for them. It was completely worth it to have a doula. She was super helpful even before I was in labor, when we met/texted/talked on the phone. She helped me not to be afraid, and kept me calm all throughout the process. She was helpful in telling my husband how to support me as well.
