About me

Hello, my name is Joy. I always wanted to be a nurse and lactation consultant because that’s what my mom did. Being 1 of thirteen children I watched my mom breastfeed and help breastfeeding mothers. I am very passionate about breast feeding/breastmilk feeding. I have been a NICU nurse for 26 years and a lactation consultant for 20 years. I work both in the hospital and well as private practice.

Service introduction

During my consultations we do a mother and baby assessment. We do a weighted feed. This allows us to see what your baby is transferring from the breast. We create a plan and make a referrals that might be needed. Follow up by phone, text, email indefinitely is included in my fee. A receipt in the form of a super bill is provided to you. This allows you to submit for reimbursement.

Getting off to a good start is to be informed and educated. I offer a prenatal breastfeeding class (in-person or virtual). Once your baby is born we schedule a Lactation consultation. Follow up by phone indefinitely is included. A travel fee maybe incurred depending on your location.
