About me
Kimia Kardan received her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a minor in Dance from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. She will receive her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Northwestern University in April 2021. Kimia’s journey with Sullivan Physical Therapy began during her final clinical rotation of graduate school. During this time, she discovered her passion for pelvic floor therapy. Kimia has since identified a need to open the discussion surrounding pelvic floor dysfunction, and hopes to make others more comfortable discussing it through her work. She strives to help each patient lead a healthier and happier life by creating an individualized and holistic plan of care. Her empathetic approach caters to patients’ needs by working with them to understand their diagnoses and the role of the mind-body connection during treatment. A member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Section on Women's Health, Kimia has attended numerous pelvic health lectures to broaden her knowledge and better serve her patients. She has also completed continuing education through Herman & Wallace Pelvic Institute. Kimia is originally from Livingston, New Jersey. In her free time, she enjoys exploring all the sights and foods that Austin has to offer. She also loves dancing, yoga, traveling, cooking, and spending time with friends and family.
