About me

Hello! My name is Sima Shalchi, and I am a pelvic floor physical therapist in Austin, TX. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology and French Studies from Rice University in 2015 and received my doctorate of physical therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in 2018. Before making the switch to pelvic health, I was a pediatric physical therapist for one year, so you can be sure I will ask plenty of questions about both you and baby! I see a variety of patients, but my passion lies in working with the pregnant and post-partum population. I took a Doula Course in 2021 to further my knowledge not only on the physical birthing process, but also the more psychological and emotional aspects of pregnancy, labor, and postpartum. I have been a certified yoga teacher through Yoga Alliance since 2015, and love to unite yoga and physical therapy with patients. I am originally from Houston, and have lived in Austin since 2016. In my free time, I enjoy, dancing, hiking, paddle boarding, eating my way through Austin, and traveling with my husband.
