Doula and midwife. I need help with a birth plan and I have insurance via my employer and I’m applying for Medicaid as well. I’m interested in water birth.

My needs are to stay as calm as possible and to relieve as much pain as possible. I don’t mind a home or hospital birth. I’m very open to those 2. I’m wanting someone that takes Medicaid. I’m wanting someone that is black and speaks English.

I plan to give birth at the hospital and medicated, i’m not super sure on budget as i just started my research, i want no one in my room while giving birth other than my boyfriend/father of my child, i dont want the umbilical cord clamped until it goes white, we do not want our baby circumcised nor taken out of the room or my arms for unnecessary tests and procedures

I’m currently pregnant and due in early December. My first baby was born in a hospital in March 2025. Even though there were zero complications and it was overall a positive experience, I didn’t feel like a traditional OB and hospital experience was the best fit for my goals. This pregnancy, I’m looking for a provider who prioritizes low-intervention and has expertise in helping me work with my body to give birth naturally. I’d like to give birth at home or in a birth center rather than a hospital.
