We're looking for someone to help postpartum (for sure in the first two weeks and then periodically when my husband goes back to work). We want a provider who has done this for at least a couple years, is certified in CPR and is okay with dogs (my border collie mix is super friendly but if you're allergic then we won't be a good fit!) Looking to learn how to identify cues when baby is hunger vs uncomfortable vs needing to burp. Help with baby first bath Budget is $1K-$2K.

Lord willing, I will give birth to our third-born this October in Langley, BC, canada. I plan to give birth at my parents little cottage at the back of their property. Our estimated budget is up to $3,000 cad, which would provide prenatal care from around 26 weeks until I birth the baby, and then up until six weeks after. I’m looking for a doula to help care after birth. I plan to give birth at a hospital in Maple Ridge. I’m seeking for a doula who can help with the new born such as massage , feeding along with cooking ( Vegetarian) and light cleaning . I plan to give birth at NRGH and my family doctor is an OBGYN so he will be my provider throught my pregnancy. I hope to give birth vaginally with some kind of medical pain management however its important to me that I be able to move around and Id rather not give birth on my back. Im looking into doula support because I would like to have help advocating for myself and some guidance through the birth process. I am historically a pretty anxious person and have previously experienced pregnancy loss. I dont exactly know what budget I should have Im just trying to get a read on prices? I dont have a whole lot of expendable income and would be absolutely willing to have a new/student doula. My sibling is a new doula and Ive seen how hard it was for them to get the first couple families so I have a soft spot for those starting out!
