About me

Hi, I'm Larisa — a certified Postpartum Doula and Newborn Care Specialist, bilingual in English and Russian. Before training as a doula, I spent two years working in a skilled nursing facility as a nurse assistant, caring for both long-term residents and patients recovering from surgery. That experience taught me how to read what a person needs even when they can't quite say it, and how to build real trust with families during some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. I raised my own child largely on my own, including four exhausting months of colic, so I know firsthand what it feels like to be running on no sleep and unsure where to turn. That's part of why I do this work: I want every family I support to feel less alone in those early weeks. I offer both day and overnight support, and whichever shift I'm with you, my focus is the same: helping you rest, heal, and feel genuinely cared for while I take care of your baby. Whether that means letting you nap while I watch the baby, helping with a feeding routine, or simply being a calm, steady presence in the room, I center your physical recovery and comfort as much as your baby's wellbeing. My approach is gentle, practical, and judgment-free — I show up ready to listen first and adapt to what your family actually needs.
