Lauren Akin

About me

My work centers the agency, intuition, and resilience of every client. In addition to my training as a doula, I’m a certified clinical hypnotherapist and specialize in the use of hypnosis for childbirth and postpartum recovery. As a full-spectrum doula, I offer my training, my tools, and my sustained presence in service to each client’s unique path through the whole landscape of birth. My services are available for home or hospital birth. I serve the greater Burlington area, all of Chittenden County, and parts of Addison, Washington, Lamoille, Franklin, and Grand Isle Counties.

Service introduction

I offer labor and postpartum doula services, individualized perinatal hypnosis packages, and hypnosis for birth classes. Participation in my classes and use of my recordings are optionally included for all doula clients.
