Since this is our first baby, we would appreciate someone who can confidently care for our newborn while also teaching and guiding us with feeding, soothing, bathing, safe sleep, and establishing healthy routines. We are particularly interested in overnight support during the first few weeks, with the possibility of daytime assistance as well. Infant CPR certification, excellent references, and extensive newborn experience are important to us.

I plan to give birth at BC Womens Hospital with a midwife. My budget for a doula is up to $2,000 maximum. I would like to stay home as long as possible before heading to the hospital for delivery. I don't have too many preferences for the provider, but it would be nice if they had experienced labour so they can guide me. Hi everyone, I am looking for an experienced birth doula to support me during my upcoming delivery. I will be giving birth at Richmond Birth Centre and am looking for someone who: • Has solid experience supporting births and is comfortable with early labour, active labour and postpartum support • Lives in or is very close to Richmond and can provide reliable, short notice/on-call support when labour begins • Is fully vaccinated and up to date with routine vaccinations • Is calm, supportive and reassuring, especially for a first-time mother who may need some extra emotional reassurance • Is available for birth support on an hourly basis, as I would prefer to pay based on the actual hours of support rather than a fixed package • Is also available for overnight newborn/postpartum support after the birth My preference would be to start with birth support on an hourly basis. If we are a good fit and I am happy with the support, I would be interested in continuing with the same doula for overnight postpartum/newborn support during the first few weeks.
