First time pregnant, plan to birth at home I think. 11 weeks in. Feeling very good, no problems. Want support throughout this whole journey and guidance where needed. Budget is unfortunate not high, but priority is finding the right care.
I plan to give birth at BC Womens Hospital with a midwife. My budget for a doula is up to $2,000 maximum. I would like to stay home as long as possible before heading to the hospital for delivery. I don't have too many preferences for the provider, but it would be nice if they had experienced labour so they can guide me. [personal details hidden], first time pregnancy, looking for emotional support and someone to be my advocate if needed.
I plan to give birth at NRGH and my family doctor is an OBGYN so he will be my provider throught my pregnancy. I hope to give birth vaginally with some kind of medical pain management however its important to me that I be able to move around and Id rather not give birth on my back. Im looking into doula support because I would like to have help advocating for myself and some guidance through the birth process. [personal details hidden] and [personal details hidden]. I dont exactly know what budget I should have Im just trying to get a read on prices? I dont have a whole lot of expendable income and would be absolutely willing to have a new/student doula. My sibling is a new doula and Ive seen how hard it was for them to get the first couple families so I have a soft spot for those starting out!
our baby in early November and are looking for an experienced postpartum doula or newborn care specialist in Vancouver. Since this is our first baby, we would appreciate someone who can confidently care for our newborn while also teaching and guiding us with feeding, soothing, bathing, safe sleep, and establishing healthy routines. We are particularly interested in overnight support during the first few weeks, with the possibility of daytime assistance as well. Infant CPR certification, excellent references, and extensive newborn experience are important to us.

First baby, Squamish BC hospital, prenatal, birth, and postnatal education/information and support.
Hi everyone, I am looking for an experienced birth doula to support me during my upcoming delivery. I will be giving birth at Richmond Birth Centre and am looking for someone who: • Has solid experience supporting births and is comfortable with early labour, active labour and postpartum support • Lives in or is very close to Richmond and can provide reliable, short notice/on-call support when labour begins • Is fully vaccinated and up to date with routine vaccinations • Is calm, supportive and reassuring, especially for a first-time mother who may need some extra emotional reassurance • Is available for birth support on an hourly basis, as I would prefer to pay based on the actual hours of support rather than a fixed package • Is also available for overnight newborn/postpartum support after the birth My preference would be to start with birth support on an hourly basis. If we are a good fit and I am happy with the support, I would be interested in continuing with the same doula for overnight postpartum/newborn support during the first few weeks. If you are available and meet these requirements, please message me with your experience, hourly rate, availability around my due date, vaccination status and how your on-call arrangement works. Thank you!
First baby, looking for postpartum doula to help with recovery and initial infant support. Twice a week in burnaby. Native status coverage.
HI, my husband and I are planning to deliver at BR Women's Hospital. The expected due date is Dec 24th. We live in Burnaby, [personal details hidden]. Our budget is somewhat flexible but preferably within 1000-1500. We do not yet have a birth plan. That's something we hope the doula would help us with since we are both first time parents and don't really have a ton of knowledge on the whole birthing thing. We are hoping to work with someone who can prepare the both of us for what's to come - share knowledge, skills, answer questions and support.
This is my first pregnancy and I’m still in the very early stages, so I’m looking for someone who is highly knowledgeable, experienced, and well-educated who can help guide me through the process. I don’t have a birth plan yet and haven’t decided where I would like to give birth. I’d love someone who can educate me on my options, answer my questions, help me understand what to expect, and support me in making informed decisions as my pregnancy progresses. It’s also really important to me that I find someone I feel genuinely comfortable with and can trust—someone warm, supportive, and easy to talk to. I’m open to discussing budget based on experience and the services offered.
