Annie Hill

43 years of experience

Birth has been my life's work for more than 40 years. I'm Annie Hill, a Certified Community-Based Doula, retired home birth midwife, doula educator, and one of only seven Arkansas Certified Community-Based Doulas currently positioned to participate in Arkansas's upcoming Medicaid doula program. Whether you're planning your first baby, hoping for a VBAC, navigating a high-risk pregnancy, or simply looking for an experienced guide, I'm here to help you understand your options, communicate confidently with your healthcare team, and feel supported every step of the way. I believe every family deserves evidence-based information, compassionate support, and the freedom to make informed decisions that are right for them. My job isn't to make decisions for you. It's to make sure you have the knowledge, support, and confidence to make them for yourself. If you're looking for an experienced doula who will respect your voice, support your goals, and walk beside you through pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum, I'd be honored to meet you.

Recent review

In 2019 I started my "trying" journey. I had two children previously but due to a contraceptive implant issue I was struggling to get pregnant for a third time. Annie guided me on how to advocate for myself which helped me be officially diagnosed with PCOS and a difficulty ovulating by December 2020. Early 2021 I was able to get medicinal intervention and get pregnant with my sweet littlest. I relied heavily on Annie's advice about diet, exercise, remembering to listen to my body, and advocating for myself. I suffered the third trimester with chronic nosebleeds, turns out was an open lesion in my left sinus. I would have just given in and let it go if not for the gentle and kindly advice. Annie lives 6 hours away from me, and if it weren't for little Eevee being born in less than that, she would have been here for her birth. But I had her in my heart, mind, and ear helping me advocate for the best delivery I could have. Since then, I have continued to keep a close friendship with Annie, and can easily say that if you want the very best care and to feel like you not only matter but are family, Annie Hill is the very best of the best.

Recent night nanny reviews near Little Rock

I chose Ruqayyah to be my doula after finding out I was pregnant with my third child. She came in bringing gifts, was very attentive to our needs (even my first two children), showed up to doctors appointments, & she was also my therapist at times! She never overstepped any boundaries or made us feel uncomfortable, she was supportive of my decisions. Every time I reached out to her (no matter the time!) about anything, she was on standby during my pregnancy & after the birth. She’s very knowledgeable & she’s passionate about anything she sets her mind to do. If, I had the chance I would choose her to be my doula again!

She was the absolute best! I wouldn’t change my birth experience for the world, she was such a great supporter and was there for me every step of the way! I love her and I am very grateful to have had her there with me. I’d do it all over again the exact same way.
