I plan to give birth at UCLA Santa Monica. I really don't have much in the budget, maybe a couple thousand. I'm potentially interested in hypnotherapy and aromatherapy, but not opposed to an epidural, and would like a very quiet and calm environment with minimal yelling. Absolutely no circumcision under any circumstances. Apparently I have a chance at getting reimbursed for doula services if they work under a license of some kind, so that would be preferred. I have Blue Shield PPO, in case that's helpful. I'm 35 so "Advanced Maternal Age", and have been flagged as high-risk for my weight. Any experience helping first-time moms with larger bodies is appreciated. My first trimester has been very rough. Thanks for considering!

I am looking for a compassionate and emotionally supportive doula who can help me feel calm and confident throughout the rest of my pregnancy, labor, and early postpartum period. My biggest need is emotional support. I have been experiencing anxiety and fear about childbirth, and I would like someone who can provide reassurance, help me stay grounded, explain what is happening during labor, and guide me through breathing, relaxation, and coping techniques. I plan to give birth at a birth center with a midwife and hope to have an unmedicated, low-intervention birth if it is safe for me and my baby. I would like continuous labor support and someone who can advocate for my birth preferences while helping me make informed decisions if unexpected situations arise. I would prefer a doula who has experience supporting first-time mothers and is patient, gentle, non-judgmental, and a good communicator. Speaking Mandarin Chinese is a strong plus, but not required. After birth, I would appreciate some emotional check-ins, breastfeeding encouragement, and practical guidance during the first few days. I am mainly looking for emotional support rather than housekeeping or sleep training.

Looking for a cpr certified night nurse. Someone who can assist us at night to help with our newborn, help create a schedule, work with us to assist me in recovery as well.

I am looking for someone who can help to protect me and help me feel safe and like my choices are being respected during labor. I am absolutely open to pain medications/necessary interventions, but I do have some fear in hospitals and I don't necessarily trust the medical system 100%. My budget is probably up to $1000, I'm giving birth at the UCLA center in Westwood. I am going to decide on an epidural as I go, but if I get one I want a walking epidural. I am afraid of C section to be honest, I would rather have some control and be able to move around but not feel rushed through or pressured into procedures that aren't necessary. I want to protect a calm and quiet environment as much as possible, I'm guessing I'm going to want to be very inward as I go through the process, at least as much as possible, but this is my first baby so I'm not 100% sure. Hoping to do intermittent monitoring if possible, want golden hour, don't want my provider to pull on my placenta or the cord. And I'd like delayed cord clamping :) I am definitely open to student doulas, but I don't think I want UCLA student doctors in and out disturbing my peace as I work through labor. Mainly just don't want the noise, distraction, additional people in the room.

I’d like to give birth at a birthing center but my husband is leaning towards a hospital. I mainly want it to be a natural birth and to labor how I feel most comfortable. I don’t want to be pressured or pushed by the hospital in any way (including delayed cord clamping, keeping vernix on etc). Im a first time mom looking for day care for approximately 8 hours a day 4-5 days a week. For provider, I’m looking for a certified postpartum Douala with at least a few years of experience. No requirement for second language spoken but I speak Spanish fluently and some Mandarin. My son is 3 weeks old and is currently exclusively breast fed. I’m interested in help with meal prep/cooking, laundry, and minimal cleaning around the house. I need more sleep during the day and would like baby care while I take a nap or two. I’m going to start pumping and would also like help getting the baby to start taking a bottle. My estimated budget is approximately $70 an hour.
