Baptist Ochsner is where I plan on going to give birth. This will be my third pregnancy, first time seeking a doula. Trying to find support through labor. Trying to breastfeed for longer than six months. With my first two I stopped due to not producing enough and believe pumping made it worse. Might possibly want help cooking.

My husband and I are thrilled to be welcoming twins via surrogate in the Rockford area soon — our induction date is 4/6 but, of course, they might arrive sooner. We realize this is quite last-minute, but we would be interested in overnight care for the first week or so once they’re back from the hospital. (We then fly home to SF.) Do you have any availability in the next 1-3 weeks (we won’t yet know how soon they’ll come or if they need NICU time, of course)? I will be giving birth in a hospital. However, I don’t have a birth plan yet. Which is one of the reason I would like a doula. As for a budget, I was hoping someone would take insurance or would be able to work thangs out through my insurance.

I just discovered your information through Aetna Better Health Medicaid. Are you in network or have they made a mistake? I was digging and discovered reimbursement information for Medicaid covered doula services. I am mostly interested in prenatal and birth doula. I had a doula with my 1st of 6 children, only 1 was medicated and this is my last pregnancy but I always wished Medicaid would come on board. My new partner is uneducated to unmedicated birth or doulas and was completely helpless during our last child’s birth and I would really like better support this time around.
