I am being induced soon -- 10/1/26 (39 weeks) -- at Kaiser Redwood City but just learned that health insurance now covers doulas so am a bit behind. We’re looking for an experienced overnight newborn care provider for the first 1–2 months postpartum. Ideally, we’d like someone with both NCS experience and postpartum doula credentials. A formal postpartum doula certification is strongly preferred for possible reimbursement through Carrot, Anthem Blue Cross PPO, or Progyny. Our main need is overnight newborn care, not cooking or housekeeping. My parents will help with meals. Responsibilities would include feeding support, bringing baby to me for breastfeeding, burping, diaper changes, soothing, safely settling baby back to sleep, bottle/pump-part cleaning, and tracking feeds, diapers, and sleep. Mandarin is preferred, but English-only is completely fine for the right candidate. We strongly prefer someone who has cared for 15+ newborns, with substantial recent experience with babies 0–12 weeks old. Infant CPR/First Aid, strong references, and adherence to current AAP safe sleep guidelines are required. We prefer a responsive, evidence-based approach and no cry-it-out sleep training for a young newborn.
