My first baby! My fiance has a 2 year old daughter we take care of full time. She does call me mommy- so let’s say this is my first *birth*. I’ve always been interested in home birth. I’ve always wanted a natural birth and wanted my body to tell me when and how to do things. I have done extensive research but haven’t found much on doulas or midwives in the area or pricing or anything like that so I am seeking information and advice.

Plan to give birth at baptist hospital louisville. Id like to try a natural birth but there is also talks if inducing me and im scared of pitocin contractions. Diagnosis with [personal details hidden] at 17 weeks but had been controlled so far with [personal details hidden].

I live in bardstown and I’m birthing at Baptist hospital east. I need a birth doula who’s familiar with spinning babies and unmedicated births. Fair warning: with will be a TOLAC, so experience with warning signs and special considerations will be a plus. I need someone who can be my advocate for my birth plan when labor is fogging my brain. I’d like to spend less than $1000. My insurance anthem Bcbc if it’s accepted. My birth plan is still in the works (18 weeks pregnant) but so far: no epidural, spontaneous if possible, labor at home as long as safely possible, water delivery if safe, delayed cord clamping, no IV, no IV fluids, intermittent fetal monitoring. But most importantly healthy mom and healthy baby.

We want a home birth, as safe as possible and we don’t have any money besides insurance and my wife is 32 weeks

Afternoon! I hope it isn't too late to be reaching out. It's my first pregnancy and I'm planning on a hospital birth but with little to no interventions. I would love an in-person service because I definitely learn better hands on and I think it would help me to feel less anxious about the whole thing. I have the baptist health employee insurance as well. I'm debating whether I would want to give birth at Hardin vs Louisville. The only pain management I would consider is the nitrous oxide and Hardin does not have the ability to accommodate that. My OB is [name hidden]! Looking forward to meeting you soon!
