About me

I am a trained birth doula through DONA International, and support clients throughout the Chicago area. I am especially passionate about working with queer and trans clients, as well as people who identify as highly sensitive. My practice is rooted in listening closely, honoring each client’s autonomy, and helping ensure that their voices, needs, and preferences remain centered throughout pregnancy, labor, and birth. I am also excited to offer a co-doula model of care with a dear friend and trusted birth colleague, Jess Hough, whose values and approach closely align with my own. Working collaboratively allows us to offer clients continuity, mutual support, and a broader foundation of care while maintaining the deeply personal relationships that are central to my practice.

Service introduction

Our doula services are designed to offer individualized support throughout pregnancy, birth, and the early postpartum period. Clients receive unlimited text and phone support, along with educational resources, planning tools, referrals, and printed or digital materials tailored to their needs. Care also includes two prenatal appointments to develop and review birth preferences, discuss possible plans and scenarios, practice comfort measures and labor-support techniques, and prepare for the postpartum period. During labor and birth, we provide continuous emotional and physical support, adapting our care as needed. If desired, we are also happy to take photographs on the client’s smartphone whenever hands-on support is not needed. After birth, we offer one postpartum visit within the first four weeks to revisit the birth experience, answer questions, and support the transition into postpartum life.
