I have over 25 years of experience caring for infants, newborns, and toddlers. I have worked with multiple families and possess extensive expertise in nurturing newborns. Additionally, I am a certified postpartum doula with the skills and background to assist new parents in caring for their babies.

I’m Kathy Peacock. I started my birth work journey as a student doula during nursing school at Johns Hopkins School of Nursing. I attended many births as a doula including a couple home births and fell in love with it. I worked as an ICU nurse for a couple years, then, at my first prenatal visit with my own midwife, she learned I was a nurse and a doula and she said “Why not go back to school to become a midwife? We need more midwives!” The seed was planted and after a somewhat complicated pregnancy with surgery for a herniated disc in my back and getting the best care and a smooth home birth, I decided women deserve great care and I could be the one to provide it. I attended the Nurse-Midwife/Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner program at Georgetown University and did my last two rotations catching babies with a home birth practice and graduated in 2015. I worked as a birth assistant for a local home birth midwife for a year before joining another home birth practice as a full scope midwife. I worked with that practice for 5 years and attended over 200 births and provided care to more than 500 families. The pandemic threw a wrench in my plans and I decided to step away from midwifery to home school my kids for a couple years. In 2022, I eased my way back into midwifery as an adjunct professor teaching midwifery skills at Georgetown University. I then took a clinic position working with underserved populations providing prenatal care, gyn care and family planning. But I missed home birth! I started Peacock Midwifery Services because I like working in a smaller home birth practice where I can give specialized and individualized care to all of my clients and their families. I’ve lived in Takoma Park and more recently Silver Spring since 2006. Both my kids were born at home with midwives, my first in 2011 and my second in 2013. I co-parent my kids with my ex partner and live with my cat, Missy.

My purpose is to nurture, create, and transform. my team and I believe in nurturing and supporting the family as a whole with non-judgmental, non-medical companionship, education, and resources. Birth and postpartum are natural aspects of life, and I am here to help you achieve full care through pregnancy, labor, and the smoothest transition into parenthood. My philosophy is to uplift mentally, emotionally, and spiritually for a balanced life, always promoting peace to you and your family. I want to provide full support in whatever decision the family wants to make regarding the child and childcare. I 100% encourage you and advocates for you through motherhood/parenthood.

Dominique is an urban mom of 3 young girls, a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator, DONA Certified Birth Doula, and a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist. Her vast skillset and experiential knowledge allow her the ability to offer families full-spectrum, holistic support throughout the childbirth continuum, from pre-conception through postpartum recovery. Dominique knows firsthand how scary pregnancy, birth, and the thought of motherhood can be. Therefore, she’s on a mission to provide a safe space where women are heard and supported and provided evidence-based information to help them make informed decisions and advocate for the care they want and deserve. She has a special interest in helping families through unmedicated birth and really enjoys providing doula support in homebirth settings. Having supported many families in various birth settings and having had two unmedicated hospital births and one homebirth herself, she is fully equipped to help you meet your birthing goals. She understands the type of support and encouragement needed and is committed to helping families have safe, peaceful, and joyous childbirth experiences.

Hi! I am an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) with experience in assisting breastfeeding in all stages, from pregnancy to introducing solids to weaning. I graduated in 2021 from the University of Maryland with my Masters in Public Health and have been working ever since to advance community health through education and advocacy. During my first pregnancy, I found the idea of breastfeeding to be overwhelming and despite my background in public health, I felt entirely unprepared for what to expect. Because of key support figures like my lactation consultant and my mom, I was able to work through the challenges and breastfeed my daughter for over two years. Breastfeeding is often framed as something stressful, stifling, and painful. While it can be all of those things at times, with the right support I have found it to be joyful and rewarding. I believe it is time to step aside from the useless debate of breast is best vs. fed is best (which ignores the unique context of every individual), and instead focus on supporting parents and infants through individualized approaches to the goals and environments of each family. My goal is to help you find joy in your own feeding journey and succeed in a breastfeeding relationship that is mutually beneficial, enjoyable, and meaningful for both you and your little one. Hi, I’m Siedah Israel, a Certified Labor Doula, Holistic Wellness Practitioner, and Certified Herbalist based in Fredericksburg (Spotsylvania County), VA. I’m a wife of 15 years, homeschooling mother of five, and bonus mom to a 21-year-old. I began my wellness journey by earning a certificate in Massage Therapy from Eastern Virginia Career College in 2018, went on to complete my Doula Certification at Germanna Community College in 2024, and graduated with honors in Herbal Studies from the American College of Healthcare Sciences in 2025. I’m currently in Phase I of my PEP process on the road to becoming a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM). When I’m not supporting families, you’ll find me homeschooling, exploring outdoors with my children, writing poetry, working on my werewolf novel, or handcrafting natural hair and skincare products. Hello all I'm Joy! I am a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist who is currently working on my clinical hours to obtain my IBCLC Certification. I am enrolled in an internship at our local hospital and am loving all the new Moms and Babies I'm able to assist! Working with experienced mentors is a privilege and so beneficial to my skills as a LC. I also work in our area as a Postpartum Doula as time allows. Hi, I’m Morgan, a birth doula with a deep passion for supporting women through the sacred and powerful journey of pregnancy and birth. Outside of birth work, you can often find me hiking, camping, traveling, walking my two corgis, reading, spending time with my husband and son, or serving my church and local community. My heart for women’s health began during my very first OB/GYN appointment as a teenager, when I had to navigate a complicated diagnosis and a series of confusing and often scary interactions with specialists. Years later, after facing complications during the birth of my son, my passion for informed care and patient advocacy only grew stronger. That experience not only taught me the importance of understanding my health and my options, but it also deepened my trust in the Lord. Through it all, my faith grew as I leaned into His strength during a season full of unknowns. Since then, I’ve become deeply committed to helping women feel informed, empowered, and supported throughout their reproductive journeys. My journey led me to work on a research team developing an intrauterine balloon stent to help treat Asherman’s Syndrome—a role that involved shadowing OB/GYNs and midwives and sparked a deeper appreciation for the science behind pregnancy and birth. I truly believe that birth is not only fascinating from a medical standpoint, but also incredibly beautiful and sacred. Today, I feel called to walk alongside women in their most vulnerable and transformative moments—offering education, advocacy, and unwavering support as they step into motherhood.

After graduating from the University of Maryland in 2014, I traveled around doing some mission work, met my husband while living in Maine and eventually we landed back in my hometown to start a family. I love spending time at the beach, going for walks outside, a little coffee with my cream, fuzzy socks, loud country music, driving with the windows down, bonfires, sweater weather, cooking and baking from scratch, salted caramel, mom groups and Gilmore Girls. Hi, I'm Chloe! I am a mom to two beautiful children and a Certified Birth and Bereavement Doula through Stillbirthday. In my free time, you'll find me reading, baking, or taking care of our little homestead. I have dreamed of being a mom since I was a child. I knew for a very long time that it was a calling; I discovered doulas and thought, "I would love to do that." I was blessed to have a wonderful one support me through birth, and that only further lit the fire within me to chase that dream and help support moms through pregnancy, birth, and beyond.

Additionally, I recently obtained my Certified Breastfeeding Specialist certificate (CBS) from Lactation Education Resources in October 2025. Prior to getting into birth work, I attended Notre Dame of Maryland University, where I studied biology and graduated with high honors. I have since become a mother of 2. Both of my children were born without intervention and at home. When not working, I can be found reading for pleasure, exercising, doing yoga, hiking, or gardening. I reside in Bowie, MD and serve clients within a 50-mile radius of my home.
