Dominique was our doula for the birth of our baby boy last November, and we could not have had a better experience. This was my second birth, but my first time working with a doula, and I am so grateful we chose Dominique. Where do I begin? Dominique is exceptional, she is truly a God send! During the birth of my daughter on May 5, 2024, she was with me every step of the way keeping me calm. From the time my contractions began until delivery Dominique kept me calm and focused. She was so organized in the way that she helped structure my birthing plan and my postpartum plans. Every time we met she was so pleasant, calm, and reassuring. I felt so supported by her! She was not only a support to me but to my partner as well! We are both first-time parents and every time we spoke with her, we left feeling more confident about delivery. She’s just a wonderful person to have on your team as a mom - she’s kind, caring, attentive, and overall quite angelic! You can tell she loves the work that she does. I’m so glad we engaged Dominique to support us before, during, and after my sons delivery. I went into labor three weeks before my due date and ended up having an unplanned C section, but my experience was still so positive thanks to Dominique’s support. She advocated for me and made sure the medical professionals took the time to explain what was happening and why, which helped me feel safe and supported through the whole experience. She managed communications with our families, made sure my husband had food, and coached me through labor until we decided to go to the C section. After my son was born, she helped me breastfeed as soon as possible and helped us to be successful at that. She was a great resource for the weeks following my sons birth, and it was so reassuring to be able to reach out with all the crazy questions we had as new parents and have her take us seriously and share useful strategies and tips. I would highly recommend Dominique to first time parents—you’ll be grateful for the support, wisdom and caring she brings! An update: we’re at 13 months and still going strong with breast feeding, and little guy has gone from 6 to 24 pounds and thriving, and I know that’s in large part due to Dominique’s support.

Choosing Dominque as our doula has made a tremendous difference in our experience as first-time parents. I initially looked into hiring a doula to help during the birth process because I was really nervous about it. Having Dominique there for the birth was extremely helpful, but the experience was so much more than just the birth! During my pregnancy, she gave us so much useful information that we would not have found on our own. She patiently answered all of our questions and provided evidence-based support for her answers. I felt empowered and reassured by this knowledge, and I entered the hospital feeling much more calm and confident than I had expected to be. At the birth, Dominique was a steadying presence, a constant companion, and a powerful advocate. She reminded me throughout the process to breathe, relax, and hydrate. She helped me into different positions and encouraged me to try natural remedies. At the same time, she was 100% supportive of what I wanted and did not try to push me one way or another as I considered various interventions. After the baby was born, Dominique helped me feed her for the first time and stayed with us until we were settled in the postpartum room. Perhaps the single most valuable part of working with Dominique has been the ability to ask her questions in the weeks after giving birth. She gave me a pep talk when I was nervous to take the baby home, she took our call late the first night when we were concerned about swaddling properly, she made us a video addressing our diapering issues, she helped me create a schedule to resolve my breastfeeding pain… the list goes on and on. Honestly, I don’t know where we’d be without her. I cannot recommend Dominique enough!

When you’re looking for a Doula, as a new mom, or just any mom in general, you need that extra care. I feel as though from my experience Dom became my fairy godmother. She exceeded my expectations. Even though I have my husband and my family by my side, I really do appreciate the fact that Dom was there. My family was my foundation, but Dom what’s the pillar that I need to hold everything together and up. All the informative stuff that we worked on together during my process of my post care was phenomenal. I really do appreciate the fact that I had so many questions and she was always there to answer my call whether it was zoom or when she came over Looking back at how everything went down I would not change anything. I remember thinking the night that I had my son I felt like I could not do anything. I felt alone even though I had everybody there when Dom finally showed up for me I felt like I was in a safe place. I felt like I can do this. I was happy that I deliver it a beautiful baby boy and 9 lbs. 6 oz., 22 inches long naturally. Services didn’t stop there. She also has been checking in on me to this day and my son is seven months old. I really do appreciate, and I truly am thankful of all the help that she provided all the necessary steps that we took together that made everything became Smooth. Oh, and the girl can cook. I really do appreciate the soups and the meals with the program that she gave because it is necessary for your body to have nutritional Foods to help you and your baby. For those of you who are looking for an exceptional doula, look no further. I was fortunate to be connected to Ms. Dominique Jones for the birth of my second child. From our initial consultation, I knew that I wanted Ms. Jones to be our Doula. Her incredible professionalism and her amazing ability to really listen to her client's needs and desires while also demonstrating her extensive experience by offering her guidance and expertise to ensure the most positive birthing experience, I'm so glad I trusted my gut instincts to chose her as my Doula. Ironically, due to the ever-evolving COVID situation (thanks, Omicron!) and constantly-changing COVID policies at the hospital, Ms. Jones was held back from entering the delivery room until the hospital could confirm my negative COVID test. That, in addition to the fact that my second child decided to make her debut into this world quite quickly, I was not able to have Ms. Jones by my side for the actual delivery. However, it did not take-away from the tremendous value she brought to my overall birthing experience as my Doula. Without fail, she constantly and regularly offered her support and guidance leading up to, during and after the birth. She always made herself available and was quick to respond to my text messages and phone calls, not to mention the fact that she rushed to the hospital (at 3am!) during a major winter storm to be by my side. Following the delivery, Ms. Jones truly went above and beyond to facilitate a smooth transition for me and my family. From her incredible home-cooked meals, and bringing an array of healthy, nutritious snacks, to conducting a thorough post-partum consultation, Ms. Jones brings a whole new level and meaning of what it means to be a remarkable and dedicated Doula!
